I have no idea what the lore here is but heres my interpretation: Zombie apocalypse, maybe even something nuclear. You and dave are going on basically a road trip in order to find out what caused all this (the cause might be Dr Edgar Zomboss, who seems to be experimenting on the zombies to make them stronger and faster). Along the way, you find strange fusion plants that help protect you against the zombies.

If you go to the third option on the tombstone, you will see in the botom left corner a four leaf clover. With that mode you can farm a lot of coins.

Coincidentally, a few days before you released the new video, the author updated 3.1 again, and he put all the plants that were removed from the previous version due to the Adventure Mode reset in the new hidden campaign (on the left side of the first chapter), and of course some of the new plants
