There is an actual term which describes the type of place that gives people these feelings when entering them. They are called "liminal spaces". You also experience this when in a large abandoned bldg or a very dead mall. I believe if you do a search for "liminal space" on YT you'll be likely to find some cool videos showing and explaining why they make people have a certain unsettled feeling when experiencing such a space.

Scariest swim I've ever feared is going out in the gulf at night. No lights from shore or boats for miles. It's cloudy so no moon or star lights. Not able to see the water but feel it around you. And the cherry on top is knowing there are things in that water bigger than you. It's a creepy ride on a boat when coming in from an offshore rig.

I’ve got a bit of a story. It starts 20 years ago when I was in Las Vegas back in 2000 during an Arizona/Las Vegas trip. I was 13 at the time. (I am 33 now) My family and I went to Wet N Wild Las Vegas (I think it’s now called Cowabunga Canyon). They had a capsule slide there similar to the capsule in the Dizzying Aqua Loop in this video. Well, when I was dropped through the trap door in the capsule, it caught me off-guard and I ended up getting airborne. Nothing ended up becoming of it while I descended, but you should’ve seen the lifeguard’s face when I reached the bottom. He was absolutely terrified.

I grew up swimming in that first one, "The pool of death". You actually show two pools in this video, they are close to each other. One isn't actually a pool, more of a cove. But it's true that plenty of tourists die there. They ignore the signs and go down when there are large swells. They normally smash their heads on the rocks when big waves hit them.

Might be hard. If you're using live actors. I've worked at haunted houses and I. It usually dark. Yes actors can get used to it but for guests they usually aren't. There's a chance they could drown. Backing up on that they could get lost too. I've seen some go into the wrong places. II. Actors have to breathe. Yes we can hold out breathes but if air bubbles can be see or a disturbance could be seen like choppy water it could ruin the area. III. I can't speak for all but for the ones I've worked at we're no contact. It's easier stopping on land then in water. IV. Sometimes guests can be jerks. Say you're going up for air and some guest holds your leg down because they think it's funny. V. I think a boat ride would be better.

It reminds me of this indie game. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJvSZaegqpuHmLs. These types of areas are refered to as liminal spaces / areas. To some people they feel creepy, hence the term liminal horror. I myself however would love to be at places like these. Either all alone or with a few friends. Imagine just you and your buddies having a pool party all by yourselves in that gigantic bathhouse. This the very definition of liminal space. A feeling that you are not supposed to be there at the moment but you are. Other examples would be a closed school or mall devoid of all people but yourself. Of course u cant normally be in such places as there are alarm systems active during these periods and they also are all locked down but what if not and you just peacefully was roaming around in there. That is the general feeling im describing that both that basement pool and that game is creating.

The "Pool of Death" (we know it by a different name) as you call it, and Queen's Bath are in the same area, but not the same thing. Most visitors end up in the "Pool of Death" thinking they are at Queen's Bath. The Locals who grew up here, make it seem easy, but remember . . . they grew up here and know the currents. No visitor needs to jump into this area. If the swells are high, especially in Winter, this area is very dangerous . . . same with Queen's Bath. Visitors have been swept off these rocks and pulled from Queen's Bath, and carried out, some never to be found; this has also occurred on calm days, when rogue waves hit at times. Many of us try to educate the visitors in these areas, but oftentimes, we're ignored. When a visitor gets themselves in trouble, which happens more than most realize, it is the Locals, the Surfers, and the Lifeguards who then are put in a position of placing themselves in danger.

My got dive certified in NEMO 33. I watched from the glass windows. There is a bar right outside with windows where you can drink a fine glass of Belgian beer while you ponder how nuts these Belgians are. This pool (having seen it with my own eyes) is truly terrifying. It's a no frills, straight, square drop going down 300 feet!! You run out of air or get low (even an expert) you're dead. Period. The thought alone had me gald to be fully dressed and outside having a beer.

I’ve gone on the leap of faith (several times) and you really just zoom past the sharks; barely see them at all when you’re on the ride. There is a much milder ride on the side that also goes through the same shark tank where you can float on those inflatable doughnuts at a much slower pace; that one’s definitely better for shark viewing

There are actually two different slides at Atlantis you referenced. There's the "shark lagoon" which is a more relaxed slide that you use intertubes for. Then there's the "Mayan temple" body slide where you also go through the same shark tank. I've only done the first (which was awesome at 13:35) because I'm not a fan of those "drop door" kinda slides.

@@It-is-me...Melsie No, I was complementing Kristi on her profile picture and was just curious how long her hair was, I have a passion for woman that keep their hair very long like Rapunzel's and find their dedication to doing that quite attractive and the most beautiful thing.
