Hi Matt, those brick shaped products appear to use several interconnecting boards (PCBs), that's not good from a long term reliability POV. Better to stick with products with a flat layout using 1-2 PCBs. Flat assemblies are easier to repair too. Multiple boards with interconnecting spaghetti wiring is the reason I dislike most new products from: Yamaha, Denon, Marantz & most vintage gear. Cheers!

Interesting…good review, but what alternative do you recommend besides you mentioned? I mostly use single ended cables

If you don’t need an internal DAC this along with the Midgard are good, if you want more of an all in one unit the Topping and FIIO I have at the end with both do great. SMSL also has a number of options and they seem to come out with a new one every month, many of those are more DAC focused than amplifier though.

We definitely have to watch out for the space time continuum. Don’t want any singularities. Sounds like a decent product and could power my Hifiman 400SE. They eat power but for $109 can’t beat them.

Ha, the pressure is on for all of humanity... I dont have the 400SE on hand but looking at the spec sheet this looks like it would be a good fit.

Referring to the "War" Title, I very much doubt whether ANY Brand cares two hoots about FX Audio or lose any sleep because of. Enjoyed the Review though.
