That’s what I did in deep stone. Sweet business for ad clear and retrofit escapade. If you have retrofit with fourth times and a div bubble you never have to reload. I was keeping up dps pretty well against starfire warlocks

Just incase anyone didn't know the 3 grenades that u get when prepped u can shoot them super fast if u manually press the reload right after shooting the grenade making it so u don't have to wait for the animation of it to reload by its self.

I’ve really wanted to use other auto rifles throughout lightfall but quicksilver storm just takes the cake, especially after getting use to manually reloading the noob tube. It’s just so well rounded, I could get through entire node.avalon with this single weapon alone… take out ads and prep grenades with regular fire, then empty the noob tube on bosses, rinse and repeat. Love this gun so much

You can optimize dps even more if you only shoot 2 then switch back to the auto mode manually, which will reload the mag instead of forcing you back to an empty mag to reload. Will only let you get off 2 grenades each switch but will increase the grenade uptime significantly.

Cool thing about the Grenades from Quicksilver, they don’t do damage to you so you can go in the middle of an enemy group and shoot one Grenade to the ground and not worry about offing yourself in the process 😁

As an actual avid Cerberus user, I call standard firing mode “Orange Mode” and the focused fire mode “Green Mode”. Because the lights on the gun are Orange when in regular, and Green when in focused fire, even with the ornament on. This leads to me making the terrible joke of “its time to eat your greens!” When I change to Green mode and shove the barrel down an enemy’s throat.

Very interesting video but my biggest issue was that everything about the Cerberus +1 test was wrong. I mean, it’s a hard as hell gun to test because it shoots 4 rounds at the same time. For example in boring mode you only accounted for an individual bullet hitting either body or head. Not the possibility of hitting both at the same time (which in my experience is not that uncommon, in mid range just aim for the body and the top bullet tends to hit headshots) whereas for the focused firing mode you accounted for hitting ALL four shots. Which yes, is very common, but is a bit off of a comparison

I also forgot to note that some of the comparison points ignored some of the reasons people use certain guns. For example dual speed receiver not only slows down and increases damage but it also increases the range quite considerably. Also the alternate firing Star seems like a bit of a cop out to force quicksilver to win. Half the guns don’t have and alternate firing mode. All that aside it is still a very good video, just don’t take it at face value and try the guns out for yourself to see what you do and don’t like. Ps. For the Cerberus +1 build you wanted, aim for the body, seems counter intuitive I know but at its most effective range a square on body shot ALSO lands a headshot, and if you miss because they moved there’s a pretty good chance you’ll hit with one of the two side bullets. Only really works at close-mid ranges but is pretty sick, used to use it in pvp for a while. Was fun. Never really got around using the alternate firing mode outside of pve though, waaay too short an effective range to be any good in pvp, by the time you’re that close you’re normally dead

I think a fair compromise for Cerberus would be to assume you’re within a range to be hitting all four bullet per shot but assume you’ll only hit body shots. That still quadruples it’s body output to about 40000 ODPS, which really is how you should be using this rifle. Source: I have killed 15000 ads and 5000 guardians with this beast of a gun

The grenade mode.. from Quicksilver storm can nearly one shot an envoy in gambit... Keep in mind that is breaking their shield and killing a yellow bar in one shot .... that's kind of a big deal

Hey so I think you did the Cerberus test wrong, all 4 barrels hit at the SAME time and I think you only counted the damage numbers from just a single barrel and not all 4

Great Video and yes Quicksilver all the way. Monte Carlo and a Melee build works well. I use Sunbracers with Monte Carlo and almost limitless grenades through the melee kills keeping the 5 seconds of limitless grenades that burn longer. Burn baby, burn :) Keep up the great work

I did the nano rocket damage is a separate calculation from crits and bodies. And i has the same thoughts and double checked my math. My thought is that the RPM to msg size ratio is the biggest contributor to how much DPS reload speed took away.

Btw I don't know when bungie changed the way how power levels work but individual weapon power level matters now (a lot of ppl don't know about it -good video idea for u ). For example if u have total power 1800 and your weapon is 1750 it will deal less damage than the same weapon that is 1800. Hope u understand my bad English 😅

If u are under power it is a mix of your weapon power and Total power

​​@@maxim4060 It's been a long time since the change But it also depends on the power of the activity E.g. last wish is 1600 til the last Encounter, so the 1600 version does the same damage as the 1810 version RoN Final Encounter is 1800, so a 1800 version does the same damage as a 1810 version But anything below 1800 does less damage there, which is completely correct He appears to be in the Dreaming City Patrol in the video, meaning weapon power doesn't make a difference there unlike if he were on Neomuna

​@@realfake6669 you can actually over level for most activities, especially patrols. So a 1620 weapon will do more than a 1600 but an 1810 weapon will match a 1620 weapon. Endgame activities however have a cap preventing you from over leveling. So in raids like last wish 1600 is the max light level that matters.

@@reabsorb I've actually crashed my game from too much grenade spam with sunbracers + monte combo. It used to be my go to set-up on well lock till switching over to starfire for harder content. If starfire ever gets a hard nerf i'll prob switch back. It does fall off at Master/GM levels a small bit with slower kills resulting in less chances of full melee resets but it still refunds small amounts energy for just hits. It's a solid weapon too many people sleep on.

@@drae_gon1369 i agree completely , ESPECIALLY with the recent auto rifle buffs. might throw it in the build permanently with the new trace rifle from RoN. as with what u said about endgame content, i think the build can do well and even excel at doing damage almost as good as starfire but not quite, IF and AS LONG AS you are A. using touch of flame B. coordinating with your fire team (so yes this would mean voice comms and some chemistry ) which would in turn allow them to save an ad or two for your melee reset , like when goblins / shanks / vandals etc run up on you . this way you can keep the infinite storm of burning fuel from the sun raining down upon your enemies C. speaking of raining down upon ur enemies, if the gm or master raid etc ur doing DOES NOT have proper roof / high ceiling areas to utilize the giant blobs of lava that fall when using touch of flame , it's probably not worth running at all . obviously starfire is still superior in every way besides maybe adclear potential. but i think this buuld is a VERY close second and will be the best build after starfire gets nerfed into oblivion :^)

I’m new to destiny…I’ve been playing for around a month and have about 130hrs in game, but I feel like promethium spur paired with matchbook would be a dope pairing it does decent damage and the near constant rift you could get if you’re good could basically remove the drawback of using its intrinsic. And I imagine that someone with more experience/knowledge would be able to maximize it with mods

The range dropoff on cerberus normal mode isnt really a big factor if you just get close enough to hit all four shots. It has more damage hitting all four shots than it does hitting one or two shots at optimal range.

I can only recommend Tommy's Matchbook on solar subclasses with solar surges (even better for shredding through ads would be path of burning steps on Titan). It fu***ng shreds. And you can just run around and hip-fire everything because of its great hip-fire accuracy

You want a good use for Cerberus+1? Put on your best rolled Hoarfrost-Z. Wield Stasis Behemoth. Tectonic Harvest, Howl of the Storm. Whisper of Rime, Whisper of Shards, Whisper of Rending, and Whisper of Torment. Grenade, shatter, slide melee, shatter, icy barricade, shatter. Grenade regen, melee regen. If you make orbs. Even better. Melee, Grenade, and Utility Kickstart mods. Stacks on Stacks. Absolution, Reaper, and Distribution mods. Profit. Once we get that mod that makes shards count as orbs of power. I may be wrong (and if so, I'm sorry) but I think you did cerberus dirty. By watching your video, it seems you calculated the dps for a single bullet hitting a crit, but cerberus is a messed up weapon, each bullet on the magazine shoots 4 bullets, each one with its own damage (not like trinity ghoul where the damage of three arrows equals one normal arrow).

Cerberus testing didnt take into the fact it has four barrels at all. You could be hitting up to 4 times that damage 'per shot' if you manage to hit more that one round per click.

The two weapons that are clear winners here are sweet business and quicksilver. Sweet business has the highest practical and useful dps of the auto rifles, and even moreso with war rig, and quicksilver has high HP mob killing potential if you need your primary weapon to also be a special weapon.

Last I checked I believe I was at over 20k pve kills on Tommy. Idk I just genuinely enjoy the gun for whatever reason. So long as you actively have a way to offset it killing you, the weapon is a damn good time to use. Which is the bitter sweet part for me as a titan main/one trick. The gun lends itself extremely nicely towards Warlocks with all the various ways they can heal with minimal effort. But I will say that I briefly had some time in the sun with Precious Scars. Had a full on party during season of the haunted with Loreleys. And I am all but ready to bring the homie right back out next season when it gets the buff applying scorch to the overheat mechanic. We'll be at 30k in no time, lol.

I had to get autorifle kills in crucible for the Tommy's Matchbook catalyst and used Cerberus and got it on that alone. Accuracy not that great? Technically true. But since you're firing multiple bullets it's also hard to totally miss anything too. Bonus is since all the bullets hit Titan walls, they are almost totally ineffective due to getting knocked down super fast. And as a side note, if you get two opponents close to one another, thanks to the spread you can hit both and get double kills at the same time. While I rarely use the alternate firing mode myself, those powerful close range shots mean you can use either scout or sniper in the energy slot for accuracy at range, rather than going with a hand cannon or shotty for people wanting to get up close and personal with you. It does take a bit of getting used to, and it really is at its most effective at early mid range thanks to it's increasing damage rather than they typical decrease. Late mid range and you will land less shots which can lead to more accurate people knocking you off first.

I always used to all the dual speed on TV and the other mold on for us for PVP. Nothing Burns somebody down quicker as one that magazine streams up and get up to that 9900 RPM dammit Joey know it’s an underrated weapon a lot a lot of people would username favorite favorite back in the day. I’m in quite a long time ago when I actually played this game a lot that’s why use finally Carlo. I love our friend Jeff because of these reviews and the fact that I have to constantly got that damage park. Once you get a Wrecker stacked up, it’s going all the time, you’re getting mad max damage. Plus you’re getting back to really energy I mean it’s a good weapon phone although I am finding myself using hard blade a lot right now with a Void warlock and I I find that the really Hi-YAH get all the lower half of the staff stability and handling it real or not I mean it’s way better. Do you spend any of this song machine guns This far as you seem like you hit, it might be almost the same damage and even even less in terms of maybe range by you had everything right and you don’t be a forensic a lot and you have everything in the heroin cart and we’ve been doing for guardian games I kinda like that one

Good video, but just one correction about your quicksilver storm section. When it comes loading grenades, it’s a one to one ratio of rockets to grenades, not two to one. You can even see in the background gameplay that you only need 1 rocket to land to get a grenade, it just has to actually hit an enemy and not the environment.

I've been using Monte Carlo since D1 and never noticed how its base dps (In D2 at least) is actually lower to account for Markov Chain. I guess that's a testament to how powerful the melee refresh actually is.

Personally I think Cerberus+1 standard mode should be changed to firing one round like a normal Auto rifle so you have an auto rifle + shotgun in one gun Also give the gun Clown Cartridge and make it so when it runs out of ammo the gun randomly sparks, cracks or sets on fire in places (for visual effect only)

Strand and Stasis no longer do the same damage as Kinetic. I'm no mathematician, but I thought I'd mention it. I could be completely wrong, so feel free to admonish me in the replies. For Quick Silver Storm, it fires one micro rocket every 13 body shots and 9 percision hits and getting one micro rocket gives you 1 grenade each time You put in 10 shots for a Micro Rocket and put 2 Micro Rockets for 1 Grenade which both isn't true

Cerberus+1 is such a fun concept but damnit Bungie, it needs help, stat. The alternate fire mode may do a lot of damage but only because you have to play it like a shotgun and get in the target's face. I don't enjoy that even slightly. And the normal firing mode is just sad. Even though you basically can't miss with the gun since it has spread, it's still unacceptably weak. Otherwise, really no surprises, but it did remind me to revisit Monte Carlo and a melee build with the buff in place. Although I do wonder if you counted all the damage numbers. Even when you crit, Cerberus lands body shots simultaneously. Maybe the numbers include that consideration, not neessarily saying it doesn't, but the numbers look remarkably low, it's not even in the ballpark and I don't see why Bungie would have such a massive outlier, 20k less than the rest? That's... a lot. It doesn't feel *that* bad.

Quicksilver hard carried me through the Final Boss fight of Lightfall. Good at popping the orbs and easily able to remove the armor from tormentors and then nuke them down with the grenades.

Nope in fact people thought it was bugged and believed it to be why GL damage was broken when it turned out it wasn't and the only nerf it ever got was removing the fact it had arc damage on the rockets. It even got the 40% red bar buff and 5% kinetic buff

In GMs where there aren’t barrier champs, I found myself running whatever subclass I wanted plus quicksilver and all the strand seasonal artifacts. With quicksilver’s catalyst, this season is like you have the best of the strand subclass but it’s only with one gun equipped. Kinda crazy

to be fair to Hard Light i feel you need a video where you compete the 3 damege types and normal demege vs duble damege i find it usefull as it work gret as normal fire and if i find a bullet sponge it can shred preaty good at closer range with ezy duble hits and do to angle of attack it hits crit more often as well

I'm sad that Sweet Business was so swept under here even if I can't argue results. I'm a Sweet Business cult member (essentially a titan only crowd because actium war rig is the only thing that makes it feel good to use) and while it struggles with yellow bars HEAVILY, put a SB user on strict ad clear duty and you will never worry about them again. Just find a good spot to sit and revv up.

@@pleasebeseated honestly I had hopes for Monte Carlo and Tommy’s matchbook as well. Like a lot of auto rifles they were kind of being held back because they just weren’t really strong but now with the buff a lot of auto rifles are going to possibly see more use both exotic and legendary….. especially legendary auto rifles that now have Target lock.

@@MOFOZOMBIESLAYR bro, quicksilver storm is a half grenade launcher which deals more damage than heave GL. We used it on Legendary and Master difficulties couple days ago, and his damage is very high. I can remind you that this gun uses general ammo and it restores grenades every 10 seconds. So fuck the meta, cos storm also helps to generate grenades for controlling subclass of strand. I don't see better option for a strand titan , as example ofc. And talking about exotic slot - quicksilver is not the useless monte carlo=)

So.. Does the damage of Quicksilver Storm change if you put the Catalyst on it? It changes from Kinetic to Strand and doesn't Kinetic do more damage?

Might I suggest a very fun Monte build (at least for me) Strand warlock, karnstein armlets, idea is grapple melee as much as possible, use impact induction with warlock thrown melee (a good warlock melee for once, it's insane!) recharge grapple, go in and grapple melee, heal with karnstein. They nerfed it slightly but not as bad as the hunter grappler.
