Over the summer I was remotely custom fit with LAB for my DF3. Emailed them my video and they recommended a 72 deg lie angle. I went with the following options: counterbalanced, heavier head, 36 inches, NN Head marking, 17 in. Superstroke LAB grip. ACCRA shaft. Being 5 ‘ 6 “ tall I play it choked down about 2 inches. Putter is lights out. The key is to get the correct lie angle, spending big money so I needed to make sure it was fit for my lie angle. The head is so balanced it feels great knowing I don’t have to manipulate the head the head to keep it square at impact. The only thing is to be concerned about is speed and line.

That's fantastic mate. I would love to try a counterbalanced version I think it would be really good. That will probably be next on my list to try 👍👍

Does the counterbalanced grip also have a tilt angle like the press grip does?

Didn't know they had the Versa alignment. Very nice. LAB could do a rectangular window alignment on the back with the green and it's basically a Jailbird, lol.

Okay… let’s talk putters, very happy you have found your self a quality putter and in a lot of ways it is very similar to my own putter..I searched for my ideal putter god it must be 10 years a go or close to it, I knew what I wanted, it had to be center shafted for my straight back straight thru pendulum stroke I also wanted the lie angle customized to MY posture at address, then I found it..the Reeso VTX putter made to order by sandy reese in the USA, it was a mallet head with a cut out in the center which had the shaft connect through the cut out to the back side of the head instead of to the face, this shaft connection had two 3 advantages.. 1 it didn’t screw up your view of the face at address like other center shafted putters of the time and 2 it connected through a bolt at the back of the head which meant you can remove the shaft from the head with a large Allen key which is ideal for traveling and 3rd this connection gives the user the ability to adjust the lie angle them selves which ticked all my boxes.. the head even had two weight ports with optional inserts, this was and still is my dream putter….your new lab putter reminds me of it very much, you can look up the reeso vtx on google images but unfortunately my putter was one of the last made by sandy Reese before his death, I love my putter so much and I hope you grow to love and rely on yours as much I have with mine..in case it wasn’t clear I love putting lol

That looks like a truly unique putter! I love it as well... I've really gotten into putting the last year or two. It really can make the biggest difference to your score! What I love as well is that it really does make a difference practicing indoors. You can really work on your HLA and speed which are two of the 3 keys in Putting.

@@JLagGOLF putting used to be my worst skill..I bought and read Dave pelzs putting bible and it improved a little but it wasn’t until I discovered the genius teachings of Geoff Mangum that I got really good at putting, he completely transformed my putting into the strongest part of my game from it being the weakest..unfortunately they say never meet your hero’s and we fell out over politics due to his TDS but regardless I’ll always be grateful to him and credit him for my improvement

In a previous video you mentioned that the vx has issues with the LAB. I have 4 LABs and have had a lab for over 2 years now. Do you k ow when the vx issues will be addressed? I’m considering the VX but want to make sure issues are fixed. The df3 is the best putter ever. Hands down.

They are actually working on club data and other things now. You can check what they are working on through the website. The good thing is it's not affecting ball data. But I'll get an odd read for club face and path occasionally. I'll have a lot of play through videos using it coming out soon. But it doesn't affect the ball data I completely agree! I'll never change from my LAB!

That is something I would really like to try! I feel like the counterbalanced one would work great but I have never tried it. I'd also love to try the broomstick as well 🧹🧹
