If i remember correctly using another upgrade on melon pult before using the melon mortar upgrade makes it so the mortar shoots a upgraded melons instead of normal ones like ice

Btw the final boss is actually almost impossible if you don't use any strong plants and you do need stronger front defense and support plants because you cannot win that level without the plant from pvz heroes It starts at all zombies in all lanes at the start while in the final wave it reveals a giant tank you need doom shroom because there is a lot of zombies get tiger grass at the back for minors

Bro… please read the plants, there are so many fun things you can do, this game is made around plant synergy. For example the mortar is not a melon oily only thing, you can put the mortar on any plant that love things, like durian, ice melon, devil melon and so on. And the mecha plants also have synergy. Just read my guy.
