That Shang was such a good example of "combos dont win you the game". As a shang main i was **screaming** at his playstyle and yet he was actually doing well in many instances. He was patient, he played his footsies and neutral well. Sure he whiffed alot but he still had fundamentals. That was rather humbling to watch tbh lol. Practice your fundamentals guys. Its not all about combos

Understanding plus minus frames, good blocking and whiff punishing will almost always out play combos alone. So many times I get hit first thing with a 40 or 50% combo only for them not be able to do anything the rest of the set once I get space and play some mid range bobbing and weaving.

​@@jamiecurtis8503Basically they made it way more likely you'll get punished for doing storm cell strats on block. Pre patch, you always held the chip damage and Kano ball made it so Raiden never got punished.

raiden mavado gives him access to 4 cartwheels, a combo extender to 124, a 25% grab combo and resets in the corner a fun team but idk about it in comp or tournaments

raiden/mavado offers a few more full combos from more starters, but jax with the +100 hp cant go wrong

@@meir1224 For the new characters (season 2) and balance patchs. The new kameo system for a newbie is kinda hard to approach. It will take you sometime to learn the game, it depends on which character and kameo you choose. And because many people says that Tekken 8 is better. I got only Mk1, so actually i don't know how Tekken plays, i'm just saying the feedback of the fcg community

Iirc, Jax couldn’t combo off the f434 or several other of raidens full strings. The combos themselves aren’t new but the opportunities are.
