Hi TLSG - theoretically, you’ll hit Storm->War Machine->Legion about 1 in 6 games. Against mill it’s probably a bit more likely because they tend to kill your cheap cards which helps you draw WM and Legion.

misery mill and misery darkhawk ronan is better

Clog probably is its best home (second maybe to mill, but clog is a much better deck than mill). It only makes the deck better. Any Ronan deck is a trap (coming from one of the biggest Ronan fans, me). Misery is not changing that, sadly. I saw a list with the Thor package that looks very good. Surfer, Thanos and Destroy decks with Misery are not good either. As long as you like playing Clog, Mill, Ajax, or something of the sorts, go for it after tomorrow's ota (if they don't do something drastic).

Despite getting War Machine this week, I find recent decks in the meta to be obnoxious. First it was Hela resummoning 40+ power after playing only 2 or 3 cards, now it's Storm -> Legion lockdown where your opponent can't even play the entire game. I don't want to use them despite their win rate because you just feel embarrassed when you cheese out cubes like that. Hopefully that combo gets nerfed soon as you predicted.

The storm-warmachine-legion lockdown is a 3 card combo that MUST happen on exactly t3-5. That combo doesn't need a nerf.

I didn’t use any of those decks to hit infinite this season. If I faced them I stayed in the game until they snapped. As soon as they snapped I assumed they had their win condition and left for 1 cube. They’ll have a harder time climbing 1 cube at a time than me who will get a pity bot the next match and just take advantage of the bot. You can get infinite if you don’t play those decks. Just gotta be patient and take advantage of the games that you don’t face those decks

Took this deck for a spin and lost a level and a half. Honestly it's only value is what you're saying if you manage to get the war machine storm and legion combo going. And it happens not too often. I guess it's a good deck if you like gimmicks and retreating

Honestly it’s the Legion Storm interaction that needs a change not WM. If Legion made the “flooded” location in to “flooding” that would fix everything. Not sure if that’s like a nightmare coding wise though.

@@MrDjDarkMark that would be an absolutely cracking idea if I had Rogue. And I shouldn’t have to put Enchantress in every deck just to get to play 6 turns. This week’s OTA has somewhat defanged Clog’s ability to completely stop your opponent playing so hopefully a nerf to this fun-killing combo is on its way too.

@@jaybear7272 I guess I'm in the minority, but I only mentioned two of at least 4 counters that work against this combo. And you don't need enchantress in every deck, nor was that my implied meaning. If this deck is in your pocket meta, then just play something that runs a counter or two until your pocket meta changes. Depending on your deck, there is quite a few ways to stall this deck in its tracks.

But for me, what makes this combo and Clog particularly unfun to face is (a) if you can’t counter it, you can’t play cards, (b) it entirely depends on having two series 5 cards which most newer players won’t have (perhaps until this week’s spotlight cache) so they can’t do the same combo back at you. Until it’s nerfed, I feel like the moral thing for high CL players to do is play any of the many, many other decks and combos that will win the game without spoiling their opponent’s fun in the process.
