That laundry setup at 6:15 was similar to the one my mom used right up to the late 1960s when my parents bought a Hoover Washer/Spin Dryer. It did not really dry the laundry but took most of the water out so they didn't take as long to dry when hung up. A few years later, they bought their first washer and dryer set.
