Well, it's not available at Temu any more - it doesn't even show any details. This Temu thing really doesn't fill me with confidence... Feels a bit scammy with those "almost sold out" labels on most cars... Could be true, but I somehow doubt it.

Yup my Temu contact is trying to find out when it will be back in stock. I’m not sure about the whole always almost sold out thing, could be made up, but I’ve had no reason to believe anything’s a scam. My wife started ordering from them before I ever got any RCs from them, and no problems.

Love how you involve your kids into videos. Need more parents getting kids outside and rc cars is a great hobby. If sticking with 1/12 scale, definitely the hbx 2996a. Supposedly there is a 2997a coming out soon and that may be my other pick. Lol. Gonna grab one the second they’re available! For now, my next choice would probably be the Rlaarlo AM-D12, but I don’t think it’s on those sites. (And I’m pretty sure it’s a 1/12 scale though maybe a bit smaller). If you were ok to go down to 1/14 I’d say one of the newer HyoerGos.

I can’t remember for sure but most likely it’s also a 2-in-1 combo. Most of your cheaper RCs are. Not all of them though.

the brushed motors perform crazy fast, running my ftx vantage on 3s is more than enough (with long gearing), but the esc runs hot, the motor runs hot, the battery runs hot and the runtime is less than half, so it thrashes the battery

oh yeah water will effect the bearings in the brushed motor, you'll need to oil the ends or the motor will start to whine

So I have this same exact rc from Temu but they discontinued it and my servo went out would you know where to get another 1 that would fit the plug to the receiver????

@@DerbyCityRC I’m bout to buy a new receiver I haven’t upgraded mine at all besides a bigger battery which did make it a lot faster. My battery size is a 50c 7.4 38.48wh. Total life size is 5200mah but if u could send me the link for the receiver u bought for your that would also be greatly appreciated

Definitely a fun upgrade. Probably overpowered it a bit too much lol The video is almost done filming but still has post production to go through while working on other videos so I imagine it will be out in 2-3 weeks…hopefully.
