This house is beautiful. I love that so much of the original interior is still intact. And you're right, some of the paintings are pretty and others a little creepy. There is a house in my hometown(Andrews,NC) called The Walker Inn. It's on the National Registry of Historic Places. Some of the interior in this house reminds me of The Walker Inn. I've only been in The Walker Inn twice when I was in my teens. But I remember going in one of the bedrooms and being able to raise my arm and touch the ceiling. And I'm only 5'1.
