Honestly, sidechain everything. I remember when this first became common knowledge a few years back and people were learning to sidechain more than just bass to a kick. The more interaction between your sounds, the better.

You can also use Fruity Send plugin to send two separate vocal signals to two mixer tracks and then add effects separately. while doing this reverb sidechaining technique

This is great man! But one more thing.... you should show us an example of the muddy sounding vocal (when it's not sidechained), because that's the way I'm used to doing it, so as a beginner to FL Studio, I didn't know there was a difference...... thanks!

this is insane. thank you for sharing!

Another great way to do this is using the fruity peak controller and linking the reverb/delay mix to that, but any way you do this it’s a great trick for sure

Interesting!! I'll have to test that one out!

Yeah man! This IS the professional sound you always hear with huge reverbs on things that just swell and fill up the background so nicely. I'll be totally honest, I would have thought you knew this trick, but i'm just kinda basing that off my personal experience of learning this early in my musical journey. There is the stock plugin Luxeverb that allows you to essentially sidechain your sound into it, eliminating the need for the limiter. Pretty neat. You would need to use Lexeverb only for this, though, but the limiter trick is good to use any type of reverb plugin you want with it. I assume you know about general reverb and delay sends as well? Also a great way for cleaner reverb. Honestly what I said earlier about me thinking you already did this also goes to show how good your music was before. But now you can make it even better!

Brilliant tip!!! Thank you. unrelated question: where did you get your vocals from?
@xTheChronixxАй бұрын
How do you prevent the vocals from becoming much louder because the signal is doubled when linking it to another mixing channel? Do you just turn down the fader? Doesn’t this cause muddiness? Or can you somehow only play the wet signal in fruity delay?
@realsoundstormАй бұрын
As long as all your other sounds are balanced properly, it should fit in the mix nicely. Of course, it depends on if the vocals were recorded right originally.
