I've had a black cloud over my head the last few rides and this ride was supposed to break it. It could always be worse. The cloud got darker but I'll break it on the next ride. #crash #fail #mountainbike
Location: Michaux, PA
It's not about what we do on the trail. It's about what we've done on the trail and what that does for us. PASSION - PROGRESS - POTENTIAL.

vivid is an absolute game changer. i'm running it now and if you mess around with the settings it can be very playful and poppy. also it's double the service time !

It'd sure be nice to have the 'drone shot' from like 3 to 5 o'clock the entire ride huh, to be able to sus out what happened, but thats impossible to do in those woods! Looks like some pretty fun trails though! I hope your not right about the diminishing riders, as those trails require alot of passionate people to keep alive! Thanks for sharing! Many other faux-confident riders would 'lose' that footage but what does that get any of us. I think crashing is just a part of MTB, yes a part that becomes infrequent as a matter of skill, but crashing the right way, if possible, is a skill in itself! Thanks dude.

Thanks for watching! I’ve done this drop a bunch with not issue but there’s a weird “gully” that runs off parallel with the final part of the drop. I suspect my wheel slightly slid into the gully crossing me up slightly. Crashing is part of the sport and I’ve learned the most from it. For that reason, I’m never ashamed of my failures. Thanks again for watching! I really appreciate it.

Really enjoy your talk along format, and we all have bad days on the bike! I’ve just been through one lately where I was super hesitant and jabbing on the rakes etc, and yet these past couple of weeks been riding really well and confidently🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks so much! Confidence is a fragile thing and I try to have a short memory for the bad days. It could always be worse.

Just need a friend with an e bike. I tow my daughter (21 yrs old) up the trials / gravel roads all the time. We get so much more riding in.

Great turning tips Josh! Glory hole is an awesome trail, but you're right that climb out sucks, lol. Never knew about that alt line on Hammy, I'll have to check that out. Glad you and the bike were ok.

Risk/Reward is almost never with log hops, for me anyway. I see it as, Imagine having a season ender over a bunny hop. 100% agree with an EMTB, but im biased as that's all I ride. XC trails, if im being totally honest, are absolutely hilarious on a eb too lol. Thanks for the content. Best luck shaking off the spill, cheers.

My worst crashes, broken components, stitches, etc., have all been on slow stuff where I assumed the worst that could go wrong is I step off and drop the bike. Thanks for watching and the comment!

In your opinion why do you think ridership is down so much? I think I’ve seen one other rider in the past month, but I ride early weekday mornings typically but still

I think a lot of it is still due to the falloff of the Covid boom. In addition, the trails I generally ride are a commitment to get to and ride. In a world where everything is instant, I think some riders got "burn out" and just aren't motivated to ride these types of trails. Also, mtb is expensive. Things break, and the cost to replace will keep a bike in the garage. Thanks so much watch watching!
