I live in rural Idaho.... do not go full speed on washboard roads... it takes longer but always go slow on those stretches♡♡♡
@BunnyPlaysHere18 күн бұрын
The only sections I would move faster were the more improved small sections..... but even with slow movement it was not a road i would suggest... i am from an area where many of our roads are washboard and old gravel... but this was much worse....

@@BunnyPlaysHere probably graded only once or twice a year. I’ve occasionally enjoyed the road less traveled using the same GPS county road logic, had time for a couple of selfies w some free range cattle but no antelopes on the range that day. I learned that a lot of federal and state protected land with petroglyphs or Navajo Towers, you’re sometimes cutting across private property, because they have the grazing leases to the land in their family ranch for generations. I’m srsly glad it wasn’t one of your struts. I’d also stay out of the sage, yucca, prairie dog holes or old tin refuse found on off road areas; those coiled up snakes intently waiting on prey are camouflaged much better than my older eyes can catch anymore. If I had to, I’d travel with a long broom handle and pound the ground w my snake stick before entering. Like Riley’s dad w his rock throwing, we used to knock outside of mines using anything heavy we could find to throw. “Is anyone home?” Not here for a long time, we’re looking for a hubcap and we’ll be out of your path in two shakes of a rattler tail. Hope you fared alright, considering Bunny. You’re so much fun to ride shotgun with, we just never know how things might go.

Oh hunny bunny you are hilariously sweet! you will pick up extra trash for your missing hubcap🤣😇🥰 for a second the part looked like an edge molding that helps hold a cover in the mud panel. In my case, I sprayed it off in a carwash. I'm guessing it was already loose 🤪 the best part of this cringing moment is that by now you've already figured out what it was and hopefully fixed it. Usually on bad roads like that,easy does it. But sometimes it doesn't matter it's just bad! Thank you for sharing the beautiful and the 💯REAL. Take good care of yourself❣️🐇

I had about $800 of work done to my van before I went out west, and there was a few roads I said no to and a couple I probably shouldn’t have gone down, but that the fun part maybe. And that part is an air dam, deflector, valance on bottom of your van, same as the city express, helps with air flow going across the bottom of your van, it increases your fuel mileage a few points especially on the highway, a relatively cheap easy part to fix if your warranty doesn’t cover it, but by now I guess you probably had checked out.

I wouldn’t worry about that piece that isn’t some thing that is going to keep you from being able to drive or anything like that. Also, if you didn’t have any lights or anything come on that likely means you didn’t do any additional damage.

It’s most likely a plastic trim/ ground effects piece. As someone that regularly uses these type roads to go home and get to friends houses I now want to go drive it. I’m also proud owner of a few 4x4 vehicles that make it less scary. My mom has a larger van that rattles and bounces people around like yours. I have flown up off the seat and slammed down in the rear seat of her van. The chassis is just built different in vans. We have to drive hers slower in these roads. Love your channel and I hope you have a great adventure.
@BunnyPlaysHere18 күн бұрын
if someone has the right kind of vehicle this road would be light work... but for most of the vehicles I see people driving that are tourists to areas.. they are not prepared for something like this... a trailer would easily bottom out or a tow behind might find themselves having some bigger issues also

@BunnyPlaysHere16 күн бұрын
I think a lot of people are under the false impression that I was trying to just go quickly. I was not. I’m fully aware of how to drive on dirt and gravel roads as I am from a very small town in Texas where most of our roads around this look like this. Not quite quite to this extreme however but the problem is that was not able to be seen on. Camera was the sand. A lot of roads are rough, but most of those roads don’t have dunes of sand that pull you into them. You have to maintain a constant speed otherwise you’ll get sucked in and then you’ll be stuck stranded. I’ve dealt with this kind of before whenever I was at previous event, and I learned really quickly that if you slow down too much in these particular areas with the sand that that is a recipe for disaster. So I maintained a decent low speed, however, at some points all the sudden the road would just drop off.
@itsjustmet17437 күн бұрын
@ I wasn’t being snarky, but many ppl doing van life don’t, so I apologize. I don’t know, but I do know what you mean, it isn’t quite sand, it’s just the weirdest finest dirt that is very deep and yes you get stuck in a heartbeat. I def would never be on the backroads like that that I have not previously been on as they are very hazardous and sometimes Google maps, etc sends ppl some crazy ways to any location. Happy travels and be safe!

i agree.. but with this instance there is another road which takes you to the same destination and is more easily used by the masses... again 4 wheel drive with low might be able to get through this more easily but realistically the road lacked access for most...

If you air down your tires it would be less turbulent.
@BunnyPlaysHere17 күн бұрын
that wasn't the issue... the road itself was a mix of sand and bad gravel... some areas were straight sand which needs the air to grip and grab.... other sections were perhaps a place where you could air down a bit... but realistically this wasn't really one of those kind of roads
@rafaelluna393817 күн бұрын
🎉why don't people just Slow down a little, better safe than sorry
@BunnyPlaysHere17 күн бұрын
i was going pretty slow already.. i am very familiar with bad roads.... this was not just a bad road.. there was no clear path for tackling it.. if you tried to shoot the lanes to avoid ruts or holes.. there were sand bars which would pull you in if you were going slower and try to strand you in the shoulder... this is something i have only encountered at that other event which I mentioned.. the sand was more the issue than anything... the holes were unavoidable as a result of the sand....

How fast were you driving.?? Go slow on that washboard, and straddle the ruts... Never EVER trust GPS in WYOMING ...
@BunnyPlaysHere17 күн бұрын
not fast at all.... i am from a small town in texas where we have tons of bad roads.. this was much worse than those... the sand in the mix was the major issue as it would grab your tires and pull into dunes... then immediately shoot you out onto more washboards.... it was not designed for average lower clearance vehicles like mine... and that is okay
