Honestly, with the platform's current state, this update's actually good Lemme give only three bulletpoints before you start pointing and firing bullets at me for having an opinion - Screen time limiters prevent long hours of playing a game, meaning that a good portion of the community will no longer stay up 24/7 rolling in a game like Sol's RNG for a cool VFX that totally wasn't stolen and used in other things. Like, seriously, something to keep track of your time won't hurt. - For the money, spending for yourself is pretty gud, but it has to be kept in moderation. The last thing you want is wasting 150 dima-dollahs on either a cash grabber or things in the avatar section that are actually supposed to be cheaper. (Imagine paying 500 robux for a bird's nest of a head when you can just do the same thing but below 350) - Putting games into categories and having the higher tiers require permission is a big step. It prevents most not-so-friendly games from reaching the kids and keep em safe. It still needs work, as some of them slip by and it's pretty clunky, but it's overall better compared to witnessing a clueless child click into a game that'll ruin their minds, especially when there are groomers(or grooners) scuttling around. The update in general will still need some tweaks here and there though, and the mods should defo get more workforce, but yeah! If you read through this entire thing and *still* get angry somehow, then idk what to say

I'm a child and I personally don't like the update. We are taught online safety at school and we (or for least, me and my friends) know what to do if we do encounter a fucked up abomination labelled a groomer My friend isn't allowed chatting apps except for whatsapp - and OBVIOUSLY she will not reveal hers for strangers,, - so the platform chatting was crucial for her to message her friends as she doesn't have anywhere else to text them. Now that we can't access it, she probably will lose her virtual friends because she literally can't talk to them if they're offline or just not playing a game I haven't fully delved into everything the update changed but by the sounds of it I feel it's not going to solve any issues but cause more in other areas. If child predators are that desperate, they just know where to go to because of the restrictions (predicting it'll be even stricter) single us out. I can't get my parents to toggle anything for me either because they don't want to make a roblox account >:/ Like someone else said, the concept is amazing but the execution is not.
