Got the Dreame L20 Ultra and it has the robber rolls. My wife drops a lot of long hair and it generally does quite a good job. Yes it does not pick up every strain, but if you do it every day, it keeps hair to a minimal that I don't even notice it's on the floor, so don't be concern by it.
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
It's fine on floors, but carpet we find it the rubber brushes tend to leave quite a bit behind.

Nice review, as always. One thing I rarely see any mention of, is how convenient or inconvenient the usage is with multiple floors, e.g. 3 or 4. Things like, stair avoidance, how it handles the different floor areas, start scheduling when not in base, return to base info after completing a floor or when needed, when not on the floor where base unit is. Do you just carry it to the floor where the base unit is, put it down anywhere, it recognises it and returns to base by itself? Are there differences between makes on models regarding how practical multi-floor usage is? Sure I guess the most convenient solution is one robot vacuum cleaner per floor, but that gets pretty expensive, might as well just pay for the cleaning service to come a bit more frequently 😅
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
You save and select the floors and when you lift it to other floor and start the clean it takes a little while and will detect the new floor.

Does the X2 have a water tank built in the vacuum unit itself to keep the floors wet, or is it similar to the T20 without the tank? I love my T20 but curious if this is worth the extra money. Thanks!
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
HI it does have an internal water tank to keep wetting the mops yes. Off the top of my head I think it's 140ml.

@@Techtablets Thank you. I should have watched the entire review first since you mentioned it. Great video. Thanks again.

No worries there is a lot of info.
@sszzt6 ай бұрын
Can you comment on the exhaust location? I have heard the X2 blows dust around on hard floors - due to a non-ideal location of this exhaust. For example you can see the dust blowing on the first pass in your video at approx 09:21. Is this common with other robovac's that you have tested?
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
Hi, yes any light dust will be blown by the vac especially if you use the boosted carpet or high vacation modes. It's comment if it's side vented.
@sszzt6 ай бұрын
@@Techtablets would you say this exhaust is any worse design than other robovacs you have tested? Or is it about similar, but this one having 8000pa is more noticeable (but which you wouldn't be running at full power on hard flooring anyway)
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
No worse than others, but even at 8000pa it will struggle to lift up hair off carpets.

Great video, how would you rate it against the roborok s8 pro ultra ? Does it tangle long hair alot?
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
HI, hair with these rollers will not tangel in the middle of the main rubber brush. However it will still build up hair either end they all do this. Compared to the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra it mops better, cleans the mop faster and better. But the S2 Pro Ultra dual roller lifted hairs up from carpet twice as good. So if you have a lot of carpet the S8 Pro Ultra would be better, hard floors mostly then this vac. Thanks for watching!
@NomadicDhi6 ай бұрын
Thank you. I appreciate you coming back to me. I have 50/50 carpet and hard floor. Living area which will get dirtier is mostly hard floor. I am going to buy it today, literally based on the info you have provided. Thanks 😊

This vs Robovac s8 pro ultra. What’s your favourite?
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
S8 Pro is better at carpets, this was better at mopping and quicker to clean them. Plus better job cleaning them. So if they have a lot of carpets the dual roller brush S8 Pro Ultra, hard floors go for the X2 Omni.

Guys. Don’t believe these reviews, I have watched them all, and I have bought the robot, for an insane overprice 😖 I can confirm that this robot has very bad navigation. I have two doors leading to the same room, and it can not figure out how to go through any of them. Sometimes it succeeds, most times it doesn’t, and I have to carry it through.. It very often feels like it has no idea where it is, and it just goes in circles in a corner somewhere.. It also almost complete the cleaning while still missing a huge chunk of a room. My 3 year old deebot 920 does a way better job at getting around, and cleaning everything precise and faster than this one does. And now the channel owner will probably tell me that I got a defect bot, but no, I refuse to believe that.. With all these sponsored youtubers today it is almost impossible to get a trustworthy review of anything these days… The tech features and mobbing is super cool, but all that is pointless, if it can find it’s way around, and end the cleaning with half the rooms left untouched.. Please don’t by this overpriced robot.. It will give you nothing but frustration

I agree, I watched reviews and they seem good but a lot of customers including myself hated it. It was mopping my carpet and hitting everything and was lost most of the time. I returned it and bought the s8 pro from roborock and wow its really good.

This is the only fair review. How i know? Because in this very video you can see it has trouble, even in a controlled space like in the carpet and stain test. Altough part of the view is blocked, you can clearly see it behaves completely irrational, almost as if they just slammed software from the round robots on it. Then comes the scene where it vacuums next to the couch and it just rams into couch like 4-6 times. Your comment just confirmed what i feared: this bot is a piece of crap. I hoped that after 6 months the product wouldve received a proper fix, but as it seems they just said fuck it and moved on to the next line.

nice shape and size. good thing the industry is movign away from the traditional small and round robots. Though At $1200, i'd want a bagless station so that you would never run out of bags especially when the products gets unsupported.
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
I think it's the right move the square design gets into the corners better. And yes I agree 100% bagless would be better not sure why no company has done bagless auto empty yet.

I wish those KZbin reviews about this thing were honest... After 3 weeks of struggling with this AI driven robot with Down syndrome I got fed up with its BS and returned it to Amazon. While it looks very promising it's a very early alpha version at best. What I've observed so far: 1. It doesn't clean near walls. Instead it kinda bounces off the wall leaving dirt behind. 2. It mostly blows dust around with its side exhaust instead of sucking it up. 3. When vacuuming, most of the time it cleans only half of the room and calls it a day. 4. Half of the time when it starts to mop it only cleans the mopping pads and simply says finished cleaning. When the mopping session is started the second time it seems to have forgotten that it's in the dock and struggles to get out. It also forgets the room to clean and simply starts a whole house cleaning. Well actually it's a half house cleaning as it will tell you it's finished after cleaning some random area's. 5. Often times it pisses itself while cleaning dripping water all over the floor. 6. It often gets lost and can't find its way back to the dock. I have never seen a robot vacuum cleaner that is this bad. My 6 year old Roborock S50 does a better job than this thing. If you're looking for a decent robot vacuum then don't waste your time on this.

Why do they insist on using this style brush useless with hairs!
@Techtablets6 ай бұрын
I think because it doesn't tangle up with hairs and not to scratch polished hardfloors.

With the Dreame L20 Ultra I found I can easily swap out the rubber brush for one with bristles made by the manufacturer for the Chinese market, but not advertised for the west as such. Works better on carpet lint and electrostatic fine hairs. Maybe the Omni x2 has a similar option.
