This!! ik it's been forever since you commented but i was making a timeline of the families and did the math and in the next ep Abigail Whittmore, who was born in 1815, says she is the "youngest of the Whittmore children" which implies she's AMADEUS' youngest. meaning that man was fucking up til 1814 at the earliest, so he lived to A HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT. the house turned him into some kind of immortal fuck machine 😂

it probably won't help but you essentially pull tiles to build the map as you explore, you get items and omens, at some point the game flips and one player is the villain and against the other. Thwart the villain to escape or kill your old teammates as the villain to win. Its just exploration and getting stuff until the game changes half way thru.

@@Jonbone93 i mean i kinda get it. they’re making videos for an audience, the vast majority of which doesn’t have a very strong grasp of the rules of this game. it seems like some players were not making very optimized decisions in order to win, which is fine, they’re having fun making decisions as characters, but the game could’ve ended like 10 rounds earlier if he’d arbitrarily picked a higher score for speed and everyone died, which would be a shorter and less interesting video. they’re making content. same thing with actual-play D&D shows, the DMs bend the rules sometimes to tell an interesting story. of course that does sacrifice the sanctity of The Rules (and as a rules lawyer type of person, i get it) but i try to keep that in mind when watching these kinds of videos y’know?

It is difficult for even casual players to understand all the base mechanics, but it is always fun to see people play through their betrayal journey.
