@@Camomo_10 Hey man, I don't even play Rust or fps anymore because of how cheaters have ruined the whole genre, but I love watching them get some needed justice, even if nothing compared to what they actually deserve. But you gotta count your blessings. Seems like you have this conversation a lot these days in your videos "why do i even do it". I mean you got a YT channel, with a community of people who appreciate what you do, and idk your salary, but I'd imagine it's pretty decent from the YT vids. Lot's of good comes from you doing this for yourself, and for others who just want to relax and play games without small pp sociopaths wasting their time. So just try to remember the blessings when it starts feeling stale, and who knows maybe you can think up some clever ways to make it refreshing again! Do all sorts of new ideas that screws with cheaters. I honestly wish the rust server owners would just put a disclaimer if you come on the server with cheats then they will send you an update with a virus that really gives these little creeps a blue screen so instead of having to buy a 5 dollar rust account every time they gotta buy a whole new pc.

Why would Facepunch employ a person who would ruin their constant account revenue that cheaters supply by having to buy new accounts? The name of the game with most fps these days is companies let people cheat for so long as long as they don't be super blatant with it and then ban them after a few weeks or a couple months even so they feel its worth buying another account. Even if most cheaters buy stolen accounts, those stolen account owners have to buy a new copy of rust if they want to play again. I mean if there was never new accounts being bought then eventually every account in rust would be banned for cheating because there isn't an infinite supply of them.

This video has valuable information for us to use to background check / vet potential teammates, so thank you for that! Especially for someone like me whose friends with kids no longer can really play Rust much and sorting through players with fake hours and sketch accounts is a pain. Before I felt like all I could do was check their account hours and ask if they cheat or had bans (which they would easily deny even if they did). This video gives me more to work with! Thanks!

I never bought Rust but I was considering it until I watched your vids for a while. It became clear that the devs of this game weren't doing much to prevent cheating and the system in place EAC isn't helping. So, just in case the devs read this, I'll never buy your game. Your game looks good but one main feature I look for in an online PvP game is the solidity of the coding so that cheaters are not kings. Sadly you didn't include that "feature". I will not fund a lame game. Camomo, you're only one facing thousands of cheaters, you do a great job but Rust is awful for allowing this by negligence.

Yeah.. all pc games I run into cheaters. I play rust, but active admins are the only way its possible to play. In part, its why I went to console.. harder for the cheaters.

I’d be fine with them being forced to play only with other cheaters too forever too. But how you believe someone using cheats in an online game helped them learn it is just crazy. In no possible way does cheating in CS equal to learning anything other than cheating helps you win, it actively hampers your ability to learn anything useful.

I won't lie the community in rust is pretty garbage for the majority of pvp servers. I came over from ASE and can say other than with young kids everyone did an extensive background check and interview in order to join a small to medium group. Large groups usually one are on official servers not private/modded servers and know each other very well. There was also more micro management from group leaders with specific tasks. I usually play Rust solo but if I do group up with someone I still ask about hours/experience/specialization. I've yet to be insided in rust. Never had a big problem with cheaters but that's mostly because this Specimen of a man Camomo keeps us safe night and day.

I've never played Rust a day in my life but I subscribe to Camomo for the pure satisfaction of seeing cheaters get dealt with! Gaming is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable experience but when you cheat you ruin the experience for many others including yourself at the end of the day. Just don't cheat! It's that simple! I know how it feels to ban people with huge amount of hours and feel bad about it afterwards. Your only human , i have banned players with over 6k hours in ark which made bad decisions with exploits and meshing. But for every admin you can not let your feelings get in the way for everyone, cause its for the benefit of the server and to keep the game fair for others to play on. You did the right thing thats why your an admin you have a love for the game whether you admit it or not.

Hey camomo. Been watching your content for a long time now and i just wanted to say thank you. Ive played this game since legacy and got around 8k hours now. About 6 month ago i finally decided to stop playing rust because i couldnt take it anymore^^ We mostly played on trio servers and we were all pretty decent at the game. But the amount of fights where something fishy happened or raids where people suddenly got insane at the game when their base was in danger and before they were just potatos that couldnt hit a single shot was enormous. It just wasnt fun anymore and not the game that we used to enjoy so much. Especially since obvious cheaters didnt get banned on a lot of servers. We felt pretty sad and were very disappointed with facepunch and the developers. So many patches with a lot of unnecessary things but not much was done about the main problem that the game has. So im not playing anymore but im really enjoying to see that you are still doing your best to catch those nasty rats although it must be very frustrating to be left alone like this. Thanks camomo

I have had that issue with Rust where it likes to randomly select my Rift S as the mic over my headset despite my VR headset being unplugged. Drives me nuts when it happens. Easy fix tho, just need to go set the mic as main one.
