It is D. Since the variable is in a radical we know that whatever is inside the radical cannot be less than 0 as imaginary numbers like the name suggests, don't exist so we know that m has to be > -7. so if we solve the equation algebraically (square both sides, subtract 7) we get x
@Th3Fr0ntGuy15 күн бұрын
It asks for an even number rather than a positive number. Root of(7+2) = 3 Root of (7+0) < 3 Root of (7-2) < 3 Root of (7-4) < 3 Root of (7-6) < 3 Root of (7-8) = Imaginary Number Answer: D
@rodrigoll840714 күн бұрын
East, D. Also the reason why imaginary numbers (for m = 8, for example) is because we can't compare an imaginary number with a real number.

why would the magnitude of the complex vectors not be comparable? My first inclination is all even integers down to -16 would satisfy this
@davidgillies62014 күн бұрын
ℂ has a total order but not a well order so w < n, w ∈ ℂ, n ∈ ℤ is meaningless.

Integers can only be positive natural numbers. The only even integers that satisfy the equation for m are 0 and 2. So B is the correct answer

The question are easy but time is low tho , Most exam offer 1 min + to solve a question+ you don't have to score 90% in most entrance to get into a good college In sat you need atleast 1200 for a good college

I doubt you would find this on the SAT. To answer it requires knowing that zero is an even number -- and that's....kinda specialized knowledge, IMO.
@rhythm826315 күн бұрын
Not really, if you don’t know that 0 is an even number then you shouldn’t be able to get a perfect score. 0 being an even number is not «specialised knowledge» it makes sense, it’s a multiple of 2, (2 * 0) while it doesn’t fit into the definition of an odd number 2n + 1, where n is an integer
@donmoore778515 күн бұрын
I disagree. That is like saying knowing how to tie a shoe is specialized for a 6th grader.

@rhythm8263 "...if you don't know...then you shouldn't..."THAT is what we call "an opinion." It's your personal feeling. Of course, my comment is also an opinion -- but of a much different kind. My is a reasoned estimation (from someone who got 780 -- lo, those many years ago, lol) about the goals and intentions of a testing company. Yours is just....your feelings about how the world should work.
@rhythm826313 күн бұрын
@@GetMeThere1 no I have never taken the SAT, because I’m not American, and it’s not an opinion it’s a fact, if you don’t know that 0 is an even number then why should you get a perfect score? This question is testing if you are able to reason. This is not «specialised knowledge», because why would 0 be odd? Just by logic you can figure it out. Everything you learn about odd and even numbers would tell you zero is an even number. You often learn that even numbers are divisible by 2, is 0 divisible by 2? Yes, because zero is divisible by every number. Even just basic number sequences would tell you 0 is even. If you know -4, -2, 2, 4 are even, it would also make sense for 0 to be even: -4, -2, 0, 2, 4.
