This sausage and mash pie is from the Hysapientia air fryer oven cook book
The book said 200c x30-35 minutes. We thought 160 x20 minutes was enough.
Ingredients
1 tbsp sunflower oil (we used butter)
8 pork sausages (we used 6 old English)
25g butter
2 onions, finely sliced pinch of golden caster sugar
• 2 tbsp plain flour
• 1 tbsp tomato purée
• 1 tbsp red wine vinegar (we used Worcester sauce)
• 500ml beef stock
• peas, to serve (optional)
For the mash
1.25kg King Edward or Maris
Piper potatoes, cut into large chunks
150ml whole milk
25g butter
25g mature cheddar, coarsely grated (optional)

Tickled the life out of me when you chu led the cookery book down! I always use scissors to cut sausages into pieces before cooking in the airfrier to use with pasta or in a sausage and onion pie - I like them crispy with the fat drained off! I used to think I wasn't a fussy eater - but I think I am..... You've got me using the onions in mash as well. Very tasty. The like looked smashing! Crispy and brown! Lovely video! Lee x

Hello you two lovely's, that pie looks delicious, Wendy mentioned would make a good Sunday dinner, so I'm going to try it this sunday😋your a great cook Wendy this came out so nice. I just remembered about the wine for cooking, I did try one of those little bottles of cooking wine once and I didn't like the taste so I keep a bottle of inexpensive sherry in me larder cupboard, it is quite sweet though but does the trick when needed but the good old worcester sauce we'll you can't go wrong there can ya.😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Just found your channel and I like it a lot, you both have great characters and good content, however why don't you have Wendy's name too as she is working with you ? Also I think you cooked the pie far too long, don't forget everything was cooked anyway, it looked pretty incinerated. But as u said it was tasty and thats the main thing.

Hi Christine, we can’t please everyone. We just are what we are and people often say we over cook our food but at the end of the day we are eating it so just cook it less if it suits you better. It’s the same with the stock, we don’t pretend to be perfect. We live and learn on this channel, it’s not master chef by a long way. I guess it all seems odd the first time you see us.
