I remember when I scammed people on RuneScape when I was 12, there was a trick where you would pretend to be dumb/nooby and offer 1 million gold for an item that only cost 50,000 gold (or less than 1 mill essentially). Greedy people would immediately come over and trade you. The trade screen would show “1000k” and I would reduce the money quickly before accepting so that it would be “10004” instead. There were multiple chances to confirm the trade, but out of greed they’d accept super fast.

There's always a possibility that someone may unknowingly be trying to sell a fake item, in which case it's good business to be polite. Also if you're just rude to people, others in the store may take note of it. If you are very professional it may discourage scammers from coming back more than being rude to them would.

Man I remember the pawn shop circuit I used to maneuver through back when I was using heroin.. the amount of sheer Bullshit that would come out of my mouth back then, all the lies the stories, the scenarios the ordeals and complications 😬 shit was real bad and I often times think back to it and cringe heavy with self embarrassment lol. Thankfully 8 years later I’m 8 years clean. Sobriety date Mothers Day, May 10th, 2015. I love that you call out the scammers so eloquently as to not say it overtly, and just refuse 👌🏻 I will add though, here I have been scammed by shops buying items at a minimum price I.e. dvd's at £1, only to be told 10 pence each. One of the dvd's was a Star Wars prequel that had just came out, and I was gifted another for my birthday. My wife went back and found the same DVD for £8 .............. 80x what he paid 🙄 It was the same with most things, games, vintage clothes and consoles....... luckily his business went bust within 8 months. @@chrs-gm3cwtell me why you think the AP was real? Spotting the AP fakes is really easy when you know the movement. It gets harder when it’s a good Franken with a genuine movement. But then you have to at least invest 5k for the real movement and only very few people do that and have the knowledge to do that. Those people would definitely not go to pawnshops, but present their pieces on very specific Internet forums. Everything that doesn’t use an eta movement is still extremely easy to spot when you know a bit about the movements. There are clones of the in-house movements these days and they aren’t that bad anymore but you can still spot them.

If you looked closely his leather bag was a knock off ... the zippers were crooked. His clothing most likely well made Knock Offs as well. Glad you caught on because a person that was decked out in authentic designer clothing would know how much a watch like that costs and would know about Designer consignment websites/or shops but of course just like you they Authenticate before taking an item. His mumbling about a car made No sense. You handled that wonderfully.

You hit the nail on the head with that RO and the fake dressed scammer. As hard as he tried, and it appeared he thought he had pulled the wool over your eyes. He said several things that raised red flags! A buddy of mine just got back from Vietnam and brought a replica RO back, simply because it was so close to the real thing! Comparing it with my real one, it was hard to tell them apart, minus opening it up. Great video. The kid also gets a like!!

@@userac-xpg not always. I've given a few nice watches away to employees of mine over the years. Some of them have pawned or sold them at PShops. Just because someone wears a 10 or 60 thousand dollar watch isn't always a dead giveaway that it's fake.

However I imagine that online you're the type of person who sits up high and looks down on the others!

Agreed. All the original cost was in the disney markup. The parts are cheap, and common. Blue was a common color as well. The black kyber is more rare, but the movie sabers are worth more cash.

Yeah, the fans doing the build your own lightsaber at the park are paying for the experience/show. The build your own sabers are much lower quality than the Legacy sabers that Disney sells. I'm surprised the shop owner paid this much cash for it.
