I’m Egyptian and I 99% approve this message. One thing that’s missing is topping one side with toasted sesame seeds with a wet finger before dropping it in the oil. Also tahini and cucumber+lettuce+tomato is a must in the sandwich to nail it right. Good job with the recipe, curious to know who gave it to you. Also, technically this is called Taameya, which is how you differentiate traditional chickpea falafel from the Egyptian fava beans one.
