Of course one guy can't help with D, but they also don't have the firepower to keep up with Lithuania who was picking and popping and hitting tons of three's and just kept the US at arms length easily. Edwards went off but ended up shooting a ton of threes which isn't naturally his game. Having another guy that can do that and can run the pick and roll (which also requires having another rim runner cause they don't have one) would make a difference IMO. This team can't even beat Germany. No I don't think Trae alone would make a difference, but he'd make them better in the shooting department, which they need as well as better defenders.

I’ve noticed some of the guys on this current FIBA team are struggling with their roles. Antman, Ingrams are two. Imaging superstars, can they put their egos aside? There is upside for the coaching staff to have players that don’t have ego. Like Portis, Reaves and many of the others. Chemistry and continuity, I would think, is a big factor.

So exactly who sits there only watching shoes during a game???? If there is any truth to it then it's shameful. I for one watch the moves and shots not the shoes.

It's a coaching problem. Other teams have a bunch of unknown NBA players. Dennis Schroeder isnt much these days in the NBA.

Lol USA DOESNT care about basketball medals for Olympics. I believe ALL NBA players should just boy cott this and other countries can figure it out. Also a lot of the people are PG’s so they can’t just all be on the team

Ant got in as a political move. They put this trash squad together and told Nike hey, "we really need Ant, we losing to the scrubs." All as a way to do Ant a Favor. Lamelo and Trae was X'd out from the beginning bc of the Signature models.

Business conspiracy is one thing but team chemistry is a whole different thing,,,. In the end the line up that team USA had is still considerable to be formidable but in basketball you might win some but still lose some.
