The sidewinder does 92 damage per pellet, firing 10 pellets making it 920. The Slug mod adds 600 damage to ONE pellet and deletes the rest of the pellets. It does increase its range BUT shotguns have massive damage drop making the extra range pretty pointless. Especially with how slow they shoot so its harder to follow up if they start shooting you.

All snipers are like shotguns firing slugs. Some of them are extremely comically silent with a suppressor

After the changes made to PVE on PC, I'm thinking this mod is there literally just to give the Medic more range than sniffing distance and a primary that can hit headshots, but I'm not 100% convinced it would even one-shot headshot. I suppose they're making the new "on par" be two hits to the head to take down basic enemies, even though that's terrible in practice given that the damage drop on shotguns, lever action, or what have you for the medic never has alot of range. It had the chance to be better than nothing, but their first mistake was increasing the HP pools anyway.

Shotgun is busted, I think the best mods would be Spread and Range Recoil Trickster or Body Damage

Really only decent up close so it depends on your play style. For 90% of situations, I think you’ll do better with the HK P30 or the sig sauer but if you want something different and potentially fun, I think it’s good choice to slap onto the engineer or rifleman class (I have it on my rifleman)

@@interstellaryeti The M1911A1 are good too, have the first legendary that increases damage by 30, plus damage for more sauce and range mods and its a monster of a pistol, its two drawbacks are the horseshit sights and low magazine capacity.

Komrad Mods better, one gives you 380 RPM and 30 shells, the other gives you 1064 damage despite it saying it decreases damage. Slap range and spread tightness on that thing with either legendary mod and let the slaughter begin 🗿
