When you guys get to know Rosie (the overlord who terrifyingly smiled at Frank) better, you'll realize that, as terrifying as her smile was, it was genuinely meant to be a friendly smile. Rosie is a sweetheart... she is among the friendliest and most personable overlords. Not her fault that her choppers make every attempt to look as approachable as she is more or less impossible to manage.

Of course, she'd previously never actually visited Cannibal Town to see their GOOD side before... probably due to only ever having seen them at their worst as they ventured outside Cannibal Town to hunt and understandably assuming Cannibal Town to be a bloody horrifying nightmare she never wanted to see.

I mean, as Charlie walks up to Rosie she's coaching and consoling a Cannibal woman who's upset and regretful because she lost control and tried to eat her husband and, apparently, successfully ate _both of his arms._ Rosie finishes up with the promise that if she brings 'tall, dark, and armless' over she'll 'see him good as new.' The implication is, the Cannibals are totally harmless, decent, even pleasant people... _until they get hungry. Then they _*_totally_*_ lose control of themselves_ and do things like what Charlie encountered them doing during Happy Day in H-ll.

Y'know, I understand why ppl in the comments are saying the pilot is super necessary to watch this show, but tbh I think the fact that so many people have watched, understood and enjoyed it without having even heard of the pilot is a testament to its quality as a show, that it doesnt have to completely ride the coattails of the pilot's internet success to be enjoyable. A lot of elements from the pilot aren't canon or have been retconned in some way anyhow, it provides some context but I dont think its, like, mandatory viewing really lol, not unless you're particularly interested in the lore of the world and development of the show

The only thing that the Pilot has that the shows doesn't that I think would be good to know going in is why Alastor is there and him being why Husker and Niffty are there. I myself didn't watch the Pilot till after finishing the show. So that's my opinion. Also Alastor is my favourite character, no matter what ulterior motive he has. It was nice to see two different version of why he's known as "The Radio Demon". Though there very simular.

Fine. I thought it was impressive for an independent project, but I was unsure at how successful it could be as a full show, so I remained cautiously optimistic. The show itself has really blown me away despite how little I remembered from the pilot going in lol

I really hope you guys go back and watch the pilot on KZbin, but yes, this show is amazing. Especially episode 4. "Loser, Baby" is the best song in the show by far. Keith David and Blake Roman have great voices, and I love the message. It's not your usual, "cheer up, things will get better" song. It's more realistic. Yeah, Angel's life is screwed up, but at least he's not alone. He now has someone who understands that he can look to for support.

As far as we are aware here is the hierarchy of hell -Lucifer -Charlie and Lilith -The Deadly Sins -Ars Goetia (Stolas from Helluva Boss and other demon royals) -Overlords -Sinners -Hellborn demons -Imps and Hellhounds Overlords are sinners (souls that were human before they died), that have amassed more power than your average sinner, usually by dealing in souls. Overlords, like Alastor are very powerful when compared to hells average citizen, and they usually have dominion over an industry (for example, Valentino runs the porn industry, and Camilla is the top weapons dealer in hell so she has a monopoly on hells weapons). With that being said, they are nothing when compared to the political authority and abilities of higher ranked demons like Lucifer and Charlie. The reason Valentino shows no hostility openly to Charlie is because she outranks him, both politically and in power. If Charlie had wanted she could have killed Valentino in that moment.

I think it's hard to say if Charlie can kill a sinner because she is not a 100% true angel. Lucifer however can kill a sinner. I could be wrong on this but, if she had powers to kill sinners permanently, and also angles why didn't she use it during EP 8 instead of a weapon if I remember correctly. But this is speculation, not facts, so take this with a grain of salt.

Following the pilot 5 years ago, watching the spin off and its pilot (helluva boss) also which came out 5 years ago, and now both shows having full episodes is amazing :) helluva boss is by the same creator and takes place in the same universe but not as much of a cross over and is here on KZbin in its entirety :) it has songs in it as well :) helluva boss was not taken on by an a big studio like Amazon, its been getting episodes released here on YT over the past few years. i feel like even though Charlie is hellborn (because shes a being born in hell, so shes not a sinner) she takes a lot after lucifer. he was originally an angel who saw the good in everyone, everything, loved to create and build, to dream, new things good or bad. heaven didn't like that and pretty much made him out be the black sheep of his heaven. i feel like that where she gets her pure like nature from, its like a lot of it transferred into her when she was born, which is why she's not like other hellborn or sinful souls that come to hell.

Uh, sorry but if you think Adam is cool you should see a therapist. Vivienne intentionally created him to be a textbook toxic masculine narcissist. It's also not an accident that Charlie, who is from Hell and is the good-hearted antagonist, sings happy feel-good music while Adam, who is supposed to represent heaven, sings a metal song usually associated with hellish qualities and bad behavior historically. Yeah the song is great, but Adam is a horrible horrible person who blatantly does not belong in Heaven. Which is kind of Charlie's entire argument that not everyone deserves to be where they are.

Yeah lucifers actually story is pretty sad. Like the real story. He tried to warn god about giving humans free will. So he proved his point when he went down and gave the apple to eve(which is where we get tge notion that lucifer MAKES people sin) That was seen as going against gods will. Instead of admitting lucifer was right tho, god created hell for the sinners and made cast lucifer there to punish them and hin for "defying the will of god". I learned this at a ypung enough age and it was pretty much my catalyst for leaving the churchbecause wtaf, right? God the almight righteous god, couldnt even take accountability and admit his wrong doings and would rather punish one of his most loyal angles instead. I will always feel bad for lucifer, he didnt deserve that.
