Rendering just another word for coloring, we say rendering just because its sound more profesional.
@ezfrialxa7 күн бұрын
@@riie.argyle no, rendering is also adding shadows and lighting im prett sure, or Atleast that’s what most people use to refer rendering
@riie.argyle7 күн бұрын
@@ezfrialxa It's the same shit, shadows, lighting, and detailing are still part of coloring. The reason people use the word 'rendering,' besides wanting to sound professional, is also to separate base coloring from detailing. In the end, it's more about terminology and preference rather than a rigid rule

this is one of the ONLY videos on the entire youtube that explains rendering. Like ACTUALLY GENUINELY EXPLAINS it. Most videos go like: "Okay, so this is how I render. Base colours, make sure you have an idea of color theory (explains color theory), then add your shadows and light source,, and then extra lighting depending on your mood and environment. " **PROCEEDS TO SHOW AN ENTIRE SPEEDPAINT OF THE ACTUAL RENDERING PROCESS INSTEAD OF EXPLAINING IT** That or either they just say "im not really sure how to explain this step so just follow what I do" THANK YOU, EICO, THANK YOU. Yall we gotta get him famous

I always see people say stuff like don’t do lineart, just render but like this didn’t do that. It actually taught me the process of rendering. I def gotta start studying or smth tho cause I don’t know what I’m colouring half the time lol
@chuffchuffofficial11 күн бұрын
i recommend during rendering, depending on your art style, use saturated colors in things dealing with intense lighting (including dark ones) use semi-saturated colors for coloring (or go to the middle of the coloring) so you have more color options when rendering. also, i recommend not using desaturated colors as your main colors, as when you’re rendering, you can make greys look like blues. it has something to do with color theory and looks really cool. i use other’s drawings (eg: matcha, kurohshiro, ccroquette) when rendering so i can try to have an idea of what i’m doing

I kinda understand but easy to say hard to do, the random chaos color theory for hair color is just crazy, I mean like uniform chaos or logical chaos? Maybe I'm not just gifted at this, I think I like the idea of just photobashing textures for hair rendering. Also, I think I saw a video that randoms the direction of hair or something.

4:13 draw the rest of the horse ahh step :D i think here the most magic happens as the bounce light gets more defined and makes things pop and i think it's like 90% of good rendering as it's pretty hard for a beginner to see and understand. like look at a white shirt, you'd say it's white but no it's really just a bright non saturated yellow for the highlight if lit by sun and an atmospheric color for the rest and that's where artists hide the juice by putting all kinds of colors there. the rule is to just keep value somewhat consistent and you can go crazy nah but jk, good vid

I have a question, how do you choose the color dodge color? Since I'm not really sure how to use color dodge
@Eico._7 күн бұрын
Hi there! I often use dark brown color that is really desaturated and almost gray on all of my works. For the brightness it depends on how dense the multiply layer you add and also don't use too bright colors, make sure that the resulting color doesn't turn completely white (you can also customize with the brush opacity). Hope it helps! (*´﹀`*)

@Saint_Chase9 күн бұрын
Not sure if I missed something but it looks like you're doing most of this rendering process above the multiply layer you set for shadows. Was that intentional?
@Eico._8 күн бұрын
Correct! I do the rendering step above the lighting effect layer (which are multiply, colordodge and overlay layer) and that was intentional because i don't want the rendering layers effected by another layer. Hard to explain it, better try it by your self :b
