I did however crack the Halo combat rim after doing a drop to a staircase landing. But I'm still riding on the cracked rim, the pressure keeps it intact :D Keep on riding, buddy!

You're working with inertia forces Sam. The larger and heavier the wheel, the more force it takes to make the bike spin. You cut down on both weight and size with the 26" wheel which would make it easier, or require less force, to spin the bike in the vertical and horizontal axis( flips and 360's). Enginerd here.

And the time it takes for that trend to come full circle is juuust long enough to make sure the industry has milked every last drop out of all the upgrades before moving the goalposts yet again. No hate on the riders enjoying the change in riding style, just cynical market influences at play.

The cycling industry ditching 26" was criminal, lets face it,many of the people riding freeride bikes these days won't remember just how much of a bunch of A-holes the cycling industry made themselves out to be when they MADE every cyclist out there have to change wheelsize and get them to spend their cash before they'de even earned it,i never followed,i'm still riding my 26" 2007 Orange Patriot, smaller wheels was always where the fun was,for every action there's an equal and oposite reaction, you can't change physics, never rode 650B,never will,i know where the fun is!!

I still daily drive a manual MKIV R32. Not cause it’s the “quickest” but cause it’s what I learned to love during the time I lived and owned one. I feel like the mtb wheel size debate is similar. Yes 29ers may be “quicker” and make more sense engineering wise but for those of us who grew up on 26” hardtails and early suspension bikes… it’s just our thing. That being said, casting shade on progress is pretty laughable😂

Tip for slow motion: If you export/finalize your videos at 60fps, you can seamlessly play your 30fps segments inside of it, but you can also use 3x slow motion at 60fps filming rate and play that back inside the 60fps timeline without any judder caused by an uneven division of the frame rate. 20fps IS a little laggy looking, but it's still good enough, especially since you can speed-ramp the 60fps footage between full speed, 2x and 3x slow motion. This is best paired with a 1/60th shutter speed that will give you natural-looking motion blur when the footage is at full speed, regardless of whether you drop half the frames for 30fps or use the full 60 in a 60 timeline. Plus it allows you to be "lazy" with the camera setting and simply always shoot 60fps 1/60th, and just drop half the frames to play 30 in a 60 timeline for that mixed cinematic/smooth look, but then always have 2x and 3x slow motion on hand without any settings changes.
