You mentioned adding a string a couple of times. 2:30 isn't that a wire for hanging the feeder? Until now I disn't realize how fortunate we are in Seattle to have hummingbirds year round.

Yup! I just didn’t see it in the moment when I was filming!

Derek how about you ship that feeder off to the Patton Hummingbird Center there in Patagonia because they have Hummingbirds there all year long I think it would be a good place to try that feeder out .

That would be epic 👍

As always great review I do not have a cell-phone. I am happy with my THECHAXX Birdcam. Are there any other birdcams where you do not need a cell-phone or wifi. I wish the TECHNAXX had a better camera. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year!

Good morning to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. Though Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR laws prohibits the sale, purchase, and usage of any kind of bird-feeders, but just curious about the yearly weather that may affect bird-feeders in your county / state……does it rain ☔️ during certain seasons where you live that may affect the quality of bird feeders ? Are these things 100 % water proof ?

@markshen3280 I am from USA and can answer your questions. I have never seen a bird feeder that was advertised as being waterproof. When you put them out on post or hang them by a cable, they will be exposed to rain and moisture, eventually the seed will get damp/wet and go bad. The feeders can also develop black mold on them because of the moisture, and they need to be cleaned and disinfected regularly in wet weather. The only truly waterproof feeder is one that you hang underneath a shelter, ie like under a porch. Even then, they will still get some mold because of moisture in the air and in the seeds, plus when it rains the birds still get wet and they bring in moisture to the feeders as well. Hope that answers your questions. 😊
