This snare part works for every fight song?!!

When I was on the BYU drumline, we would often play the opposing school’s fight song as part of the pre-game tradition. I had the GENIUS idea for the drumline to just play the same part we play for the BYU fight song for every other fight song, since they all pretty much have the same musical structure. This tradition still lives on today, and I smile to myself in the stands every time I hear the drumline doing this on the field during pre-game :)
So here it is, me playing the snare part to the BYU fight song to some of the great college football fight songs in history.
They are as follows:
1. BYU fight song (the tune that this snare part actually goes to)
2. Notre Dame fight song
3. Wisconsin fight song
4. Tennessee fight song
5. Texas fight song
6. Alabama fight song

Glad you asked. We actually ran into this issue when BYU played Air Force and we had to play their fight song. You know the one... "Off we go, into the wild blue yonder..." Anyway, we found Triplet Diddle worked just fine. 😂
