You know on the topic of english dubs, I started watching Id Invaded recently. The very first thing you see is a guy waking up in a strange place and gasping, and just from how that gasp sounded I was able to determine that it was set to english dub and switch it to japanese audio. In other words, it's possible to tell the difference between english and japanese VAs without hearing a single spoken word. That's how great the gap is. English VAs aren't generally bad, it's just that nothing can compete with japanese VAs. One of the best examples is Fukawa Toko from the Danganronpa games. Miyuki Sawashiro does an absolute god tier job with that voice and makes the charater feel legit despite the massive challenge in doing so (this character has one of the most unique speech mannerisms ever), meanwhile I simply can't take the english voice seriously and it fails to make the character work.

I watched the whole Season 1 purely in English dub, and it was pretty great. The only downside is that we had to wait a bit longer while the Japanese dub was already ahead by 2 episodes (that means we were always 2 weeks behind). Not sure if it will be the same situation for Season 2, but if it does end up being the same case then sticking to Japanese dub would be better just so you can be caught up with the latest episode.

The dub is so superior I can't really watch anyone reacting to the Japanese. What helps the most is the fact not only is Aleks Le the best thing since Betty White, but the other VAs are seasoned vets doing good shit.

The eng dub is just not good in comparison to Taito Ban, sorry. Aleks Le is good in some tiny parts, but the fcked up the scene in the first episode totally. So much i almost had to laugh.

But i also think that Aleks Le is super overrated and that Taito Ban delivered the best voiceacting performance since long. You also don't need any language skills to see this, sorry.
