You should see Home Free in concert. They’re just as good in person. Tim Foust makes the theater literally rumble (also blows out microphones from time to time.) and Adam Rupp does a drum solo.

If you get a chance to hear Home Free sing this live, you'll be blown away, you wouldn't think they could make it even better than in the video, but they do. And yes you have all of their names right, but Adam Rupp is referred to as Adam, & the other Adam is called "Chance" since Adam Chance is his name, & that way you can distinguish between the two. Great reaction, welcome to the Home Fry family, you're definitely one of us now!! 🍟❤️

You have to love an a cappella song where the only solos are not singing, but the amazing patented "No-Monica"! I love this so much! I think you'd love Adam's solo sets. He does a new set every tour. There's a really clear one from 2015 wearing a red plaid shirt and several newer ones where he uses a looper to multi-track himself live that are also amazing. As a side note, Adam learned the drums to be a better vocal percussionist. That's dedication to your craft! Edit-The low bass " We ain't goin down." at the beginning is Tim, now with short hair. ;)

The red plaid one always gets recommended, but if you want an old set that has the invisible drum kit beginning, there's one where he's just in a dark tee that's better and incorporates his Billy Jean routine, complete with moonwalk.

If you love his no-monica... check out The Sea Shanty Medley and listen for his "casta-nots"😅 When you commented on the low note "down" at the beginning, that was Tim. It's easy to get them mixed up since Austin has grown his hair out long and Tim cut his shorter and is allowing the grey to come in. Chance normally wears a hat. Rob hasn't changed a bit (and I don't want him too) And Adam Rupp is letting his hair grow out again so wears bandanas alot.

These guys are just the best. That was such a great cover of Garth Brooks' song. What a fun & fast energy song. You can't help but jam along with it. The guys all did a great job & Adam was fabulous with his harmonica sounds & vocal percussion. The bass is Tim Foust but with shorter hair. What sets Home Free apart from the other a cappella groups is that they can replicate all their songs just as good live & Tim can hit the low bass notes consistently.

They do Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms. Crosby, Stills, and Nash's Helplessly Hoping is performed. by the guys. When Chance and Rob blend their voices I’m in heaven. Home Free is the only a cappella group that I like and truly enjoy. They call themselves a vocal BAND. They’re not a theatrical troupe. Their approach to their music is that they’re making a record. And their vocal blend is so pleasing to the ear. I know you’re getting suggestions, but I’ll offer my 2cents: “End of the Road “- gospel Rob at his best. “I Can’t Outrun You”- Chance lead, pure 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video. “Blue Ain’t Your Color “, Rob lead shared with Chance. For fun- “Butts Medley” and “Champagne Taste (on a beer budget)”, written by Tim. “When a Man Loves a Woman”, Austin lead with gorgeous harmonies and tasteful percussion by Adam. I’ll stop here for now. There is sooo much more to get to.

Just a note, the Butts Remix/Medley and Champagne Taste (on a Beer Budget) are from before Chance joined them and have Chris Rupp, Adam's brother (and cofounder of the group), as the baritone. He's usually in a cowboy hat.

FYI, with Home Free, Adam = Adam Rupp, beatboxer and founder of the group; Chance = Adam Chance, baritone who joined 16 years after the group was started. Adam *does* sing, so you can't use singing vs. beatboxing as a distinguishing feature. If you talk about Adam singing, that's still Rupp.

Tim's hair is shorter and greyer now(since 2020) so he looks a bit different. That was him in the first verse. He and Chance alternated singing verses. You might enjoy watching videos of them doing this live. So much energy on one stage. HF is not just a country band, so please don't limit yourself to their country covers. In addition to their massive catalog of covers, they have 40 or so originals that are well worth the listen. The most recent album (So Long Dixie), except for 2 covers, is all songs that Tim and Austin either wrote or co-wrote, and the one before it (Dive Bar Saints) also only has 2 covers on it, but Austin and Tim are only credited with contributing to 4 of the originals, but if you look at the "liner notes", many of the writers have written for HF before.

An interesting note is they can all do beat boxing, not as diverse as Adam, but the ones they each do, is awesome. BTW the low Basso Profundo "We ain't Goin' Down" was Tim Foust (5 octave range) Chance is Bass/Baritone with a 4 octave range.

Watch Misty Mountain. You will never confuse Tim the dragon and Chance ever again. For a good Chance lead try Some Girls Do and Cover Me Up. Both are super good. Austin's big COVID Lock down solo is When a Man Loves a Woman (Not my kind of song but the girls love it!) And for great harmonies One Man Band, Moonshine, Hillbilly Bone (Bad @$$!) and I personally love Woman Amen/Female. Great reaction!

To hear Rob and Chance really mesh into one, listen to Helplessly Hoping! It is so good! We got to hear this song live. It is absolutely AMAZING!!! It sounds exactly the same!

Subscribed because I love your enthusiasm for Home Free! They are sublime, aren't they? Looking forward to more HF content - it's a very deep rabbit hole! Austin and Tim were singing the first verse and Tim was the one who did the basement "dowwwwwn". Their voices maatch so well! Rob and Chance did the second verse and you are so right when you say their voices blend so beautifully! You should hear their version of "Helplessly Hoping" for some incredible harmonies. Thanks for a terrific reaction!

@@dj_410 i highly recommend!!! I’ve seen them 3 times in the USA!!! I’m actually from about 80 miles (129km) from where they “originated” as the crow flies!!! I consider them “kin.”

Unfortunately just for the one performance at CMC Rocks (festival at Ipswich). They are then going to Sydney for a couple of days of promo with the hope of coming back later in the year to tour.

Like I've said before... their covers are more of an upgrade. Check out their version of John Mayer's In The Blood. Fabulous. Actually some of the bass is Tim Foust...he and Austin did the part where they faded out.

A favorite!! They killed this song! And I am trying to see if you've reacted before I suggest, but not sure if you're reacted to another one you want to get up stomp and clap and dance to! At live shows I've been to the audience does do that and sings along! It's incredible! Hillbilly Bone -- that's the one. Fun, awesome singing, "acting" and all of what makes Home Free who they are -- special! Thanks, take care.

Garth Brooks did more for country music genre than any other artist in history, in my humble opinion! I too always said, "I love all kinds of music, except for......". When Garth Brooks crossed over the charts in the 80's it changed everything for me as well!

Tim Foust (older vids have his hair shoulder length and dark, newer one have it cut short with loads of gray) - bass with 5 octave range, often called 'the Dragon' Adam Chance (dark brown hair and beard, replaced Chris Rupp) - primarily sings baritone, but 4 octave range that's silky smooth Rob Lundquist (the teddy bear we all want to snuggle) - tenor who can slip into ANY type of music (trained in opera!) Austin Brown (the young'un with scraggly ginger beard) - high tenor, trained in musical theatre and a true ham in front of cameras / audience Adam Chance - with brother Chris, founder of Home Free. Beatboxer (often called 'the Beast') and lovely tenor, can produce some of the most outstanding percussion sounds On their own, each of the guys are wonderful. Together... perfection! You won't find one of their songs displeasing or boring, guaranteed.
