it isnt. if you know anything about rock musics history you can see what is happening to rap. right now trap rap is popular and its basically the punk version of rap. punk is youth turn up music, it has short songs, they are repetitive lyrics, they have similar melodies and arent based on technicality. Rap has subgenres and people need to recognize and categorize music better. You cant compare someone like 6ix9ine with eminem. Neither one is better than the other they play different genres of rap. Their music should be judged differently and if you have a preference for either one its just your bias because there isnt a good criteria to compare them. its like comparing a metal band to a punk band
