The message I got from this song was more of like whatever struggles we are facing (the bombs), BTS will always be there to help or support you through their song. They started from "louder than bombs I break" signifying an excruciating pain or sorrow. But then they move onto "louder than bombs I say" probably representing those thoughts of "you'll get through this". And lastly, they end with "louder than bombs I sing" which is literally them saying that no matter how painful the things are going on with your life right now, we'll be here singing in hopes that we'll be able to lessen your pain. Louder Than Bombs is my FAVORITE MotS:7 track. It is the pivotal turning point storyline wise in the album. It is vocally the most gorgeous medley IN EXISTENCE. The lyrics. HOBI'S LOW RAP. The heavy breath behind him. His full stop at the word MUTE. JIMIN IS OTHERWORLDLY LIKE ARE WE HEARING THIS. Yoongi mumble rapping. Tae's like dark chocolate in this dessert. JIN IS FLOATING on those vocals. Jungkook and Jimin harmonizing. Just. THANK YOU TROYE SIVAN FOR THIS PRODUCING COLLAB. That lock click sound is also my fave.

Louder Than Bombs is all about the tug and pull of BTS being in the spotlight. If you listen to the instrumental, it really feels like dark, murky waters that peak and crescendo and lull back into the recesses - like an ocean's tide. "Louder than bombs, I break" - I believe this is telling the pain of being in the spotlight, at times, the loudness is comforting, because at the other end of the chants are ARMY, rooting for the guys, but controversely, the "breaking" happens because of the pressures and weight of what it means to be a pillar of light for millions of people who look up to you. It can be very overwhelming for them, I would imagine. "No matter what kind of night swallows me, I won't give up for you. Fight, we'll shine..." - This line stands out to me from Jhope's verse. This song, these lyrics are very tormented and suffocated at times, but he says that despite those suffocating moments and feelings, BTS will always be here for us and are willing to share our burdens and pain with us, even when they have to deal with their own. "We picked this game" - BTS chose this, they chose to be here to help the world heal in whatever way they can. One last thing: Jin sings "Louder than bombs, I say Ahhh~ I'll talk to the world. The days when I ran from you - there's no more." This to me is a moment where we need to really understand the promise that BTS has made to ARMY, and that promise is: despite the pain and suffering, the overwhelming "bombs" that threaten to harm people mentally, physically and emotionally, BTS know what their mission is now, and promise to continue to sing, to be even louder than the bombs that threaten us. It's a very bittersweet song, because they, and we, know that there will always be darkness in the world, but we have to continue to fight it. It's our only choice.

you should totally watch some of their award speeches! MMA and MAMA 2016 and MAMA 2018 come to mind. mma 2016 where they won the album of the year (their first ever “daesang”, meaning like grand award) and mama 2016 where they won artist of the year really pull at ur heartstrings bc you can see how surprised they are to have won it. mama 2018’s award speech is also especially tear jerking as they had a tough time that year, they’re quite tearful whilst giving the speech
