tip for you to try and do this set up 5 fueling stations around jupiter and each moon, you will need them to refuel when you get into the orbit of jupiter, dock to the first station and transfer fuel from there to your rocket after you undock and go to the first moon, dock and refuel, land then get to the orbit, dock and refuel again, continue repeating the same with the other moons and then fly back to earth using the remaining fuel

Lets break chip with some dip Also fun fact: Earth and Io are the only known objects in the solar system with active volcanism. Hence why Io looks like that. Whilst Earth's volcanoes are driven by primordial energy(heat from the core), Io's volcanoes are caused by Jupiter's gravitational pull on it

For ion engines i recommend to clip them multiple times. once enough it should be able to get out of all of jupiter moons with one lander and save lots of fuel. i have tried this mission before but sadly i didnt have enough fuel to return back to earth.
@missiletechradar6 ай бұрын
yeah I used that method as well, it's very efficient and fuel saving, I used it in one of my vids btw. 8/10 would recommend! Just don't clip too much engines, and you don't have to worry about heat damage, Ion engines don't produce heat

A problem I kept noticing with both the rendezvous and transfer back to Earth is that you kept warping to near the points but not to the points specifically. If you clicked on the points to warp to them, then no matter where they are you will always be at those points when you reach them.

Hey chip, I don’t think it’s out on pc yet but if you want to test out landers for certain planets there is a teleport option in the cheats so you can teleport to any planet’s surface or be in orbit. Hope this helps!

pro tip: you can use Jupiter atmosphere to help slow you down into orbit easier and it is fuel efficient(and of courses you need heat shield to do that).
@micfail22 ай бұрын
Sure, but then you need a ton of Delta v to get out of low Jupiter orbit. I think his mistake was inserting into a low Jupiter orbit in the first place, if he had inserted into a high orbit it would have taken way less fuel. Could even get into a retrograde orbit and use the moon's gravity themselves to help slow down, it would take multiple passes but it should work

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only astronomical object known to harbor life. This is enabled by Earth being an ocean world, the only one in the Solar System sustaining liquid surface water. Almost all of Earth's water is contained in its global ocean, covering 70.8% of Earth's crust. The remaining 29.2% of Earth's crust is land, most of which is located in the form of continental landmasses within Earth's land hemisphere. Most of Earth's land is somewhat humid and covered by vegetation, while large sheets of ice at Earth's polar deserts retain more water than Earth's groundwater, lakes, rivers and atmospheric water combined. Earth's crust consists of slowly moving tectonic plates, which interact to produce mountain ranges, volcanoes, and earthquakes. Earth has a liquid outer core that generates a magnetosphere capable of deflecting most of the destructive solar winds and cosmic radiation.
