I like how this mod gives the bodyguards a personality. I also don't think the bubbles shield is that overpowered since it takes time to recharge and doesn't get rid of the arrow bud so it's still a threat in the CO, it's basically like getting to always carry a body without having to use your hands.

This mod is great! it genuinely adds an incentive to go Jungle-Temple for a better reward than just the hedjet and elixir

The duat part is interesting and finally gives you an incentive to go for the guaranteed jetpack instead of vlad’s cape. However the tidepool reward part is kinda garbage since you can get free paste from jungle anyway, and you need to waste a clone gun shot *and* deal with hired hands to get more out of the quest

yeah the tidepool """questline""" is more just a way to deposit the key if you don't want to go through temple (or your hired hands died). the clone gun bit was just an easter egg i added for the funnies

One of the few quests with a good reward. Which will actually benefit you in CO runs. I‘d really like to see more of such custom quests.

Spelunky 2 needs more side quests. I don't know if Derek plans for future updates. But a Spelunky Hard Mode with new boss mechanics, a secret Cthulu route, and a overall harder difficulty would be enough.

Honestly a great idea for a mod. It adds more to the game that feels like its a part of the original one itself. It surely will be a lifsaver for CO runs.

I'm sure the only reason why the main prize for returning the key is paste is because paste is required for the most common ankh skip.

I love the thought that the only thing this bodyguard for the richest person in the whole caves has on his person besides his shotgun, some ropes and some bombs is... a bottle full of glue. Just. A while glass bottle. Full of glue. As one just has on them.

I don’t think to have to go to the city of gold, but that’s the only method I could find to sacrifice the key

if you go to duat with the blue key and give it to the bodyguard, you get allowed into tusk's palace without having to gamble at tidepool
