Thanks for watching bud! Ya as I get more comfortable and confident I want to continue to try to make it a point to explain what Im doing and what in seeing. Its easy to get focused in on the moment and forget to talk about whats going on around me.

I love this channel, just got a fleet of 2 pro anglers, a 12 & a 14 footer. Can't wait to get out on the water, this channel was honestly what inspired me to pull the trigger on them!

Wow! That is a hell of a fleet! That is so cool that these videos helped you pull the trigger! For me it was the KZbin channel 30 Miles Out! That Got me thinking about getting into kayak fishing! I learn something new every time I take the kayak out and I film every time I take the kayak out to relive the moments! Good luck on your kayak fishing adventures

Great video brother. Inspiring me to get a kayak although a solo skiff would be beast up in there. New to the channel and just subscribed! 👊🏼👍🏼
@MesquiteOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Rey Rod thanks watching and thanks for a sub! Whatever gets you on the water is the right choice in my opinion! The microskiff options like the solo skiff are super cool and definitely expand your range over a kayak. With the kayak I like that it’s easy to sneak up on fish, don’t need gas, don’t have to do maintenance on the engine, and don’t have to use a trailer. But I could see getting myself a microskiff someday.

I love these kind of spots man, but they're usually pretty far in. I really need to invest into a hobie, I've gone out far on my yak once and it was a tough paddle back, got caught in 25mph winds lol
@MesquiteOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It was a really cool spot! Ya it was a long trip. I ended up doing like 15 miles that day. They are awesome kayaks for sure and it does extend your range! I did have to use my paddle quite a bit that day cause it got pretty skinny in certain areas!

Thanks for watching brotha! It’s a good ways peddle or paddle. Definitely need to pick a day when the conditions allow for it, take off at daybreak, and prepare to kayak fish all day 😉

Where do you recommend to try out my kayak. Got one like a week ago but haven't used it. I'm new to it. Never fished in kayak before
@MesquiteOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
South Padre Island near the convention center is a great spot! Relatively shallow, grass flats, and you don’t have to paddle very much to get on the fish!
@abhernandez50454 жыл бұрын
@@MesquiteOutdoors sounds good bro thanks. Is it ok to leave the vehicle there for a while. Mine is just a regular kayak. Hopefully if I like it I'll be able to get me one similar to yours. Thanks for the help
@MesquiteOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Ya as you drive into that big area just north of the convention center (not sure what it’s called) take a right and pretty much go all the way till the fence/end of property then take a left and hug that fence/end of the property. I try to park on the grass and a little further from the water especially if you think the tide is gonna come up better safe than sorry. Better to drag the kayak a little farther than get your vehicle stuck. But you’ll see the road marked pretty well and you’ll probably see others parked. Never had any problems. Perfect place to take the kayak out for the first time

Awesome video I was out there the same day you were. Saw you before you docked off my buddy and I were there with the two green Hobie Compass’. Have you come across the big flocks of birds feeding by the shore???
@MesquiteOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! Nice how did y’all do? I came across birds on that day as I was coming back! I’m editing a short video with the last portion of the day
@lucycab15844 жыл бұрын
Two man limits of trout. I’ve come to find that money AM lure on a sunny day works great for trout. We followed the birds for about a solid hour caught about 30 trout in that time. Still looking for the elusive reds lol. I peddled about 10 miles that day but no reds.
@MesquiteOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
2 limits nice! Gotta love the bird action!Definitely catch more trout in Port Mansfield but the reds are out there! Sometimes under the birds actually
