I had post festival depression last year , but then I realized that nothing last forever and all good and bad thing have beginning and an end and I agree with you on the point that like hiking, life is also about living in the present , its not about how much money you end up with when you die. Some experiences will be only pleasurable and some will teach you a lesson, but all of them are valuable. P.S. I am a hiker for 3 years now and I love it and now I understand why some people say that they love the climbing more than the decent.

Thank you for sharing! I appreciate the comment. I really think that if we are only thinking about the end or getting to the experience like the festival - we're going to miss life a bit. Ends are hard - but life is about change! Keep hiking and livin. Much love!

It reminds me of how our brains are wired to always move the goalpost. E.g. if you have a goal to earn, I don't know, say 100k a year, the moment you get there... you might enjoy it for a while, but sooner or later a moment will come when you will want 150k. So even based on this you could say, the goal is not the point, because our brains will always find new goals, and render the old ones obsolete, so being obsessed with them makes no sense because we won't ever be satisfied other than for a brief period
