This woman is lucky to have any sanity left for all she went through. She lost so much of the money to her father and other greedy people who outright stole what she earned. Not to mention the control her father literally had over her personal life for so long. She was a pop queen but I've heard her use her actual vocal ability and she has a voice!! I hope the next half of her life is full of happiness.

Funnily enough, this song kinda ended up predicting Britney's future. The moment she fell from grace, everyone turned their backs on her and didn't love her anymore. Its kinda haunting when you go back to this song after the things that happened to her.

Always loved this song (ever since my uncle from Canada brought this over to Scotland for me when he visited because it came out there before here haha) anyways.. it hits me in the feels. Always has and especially does now we all know!! Also.. this was the earliest sign things weren’t okay and we now know, Britney comes up with the concept for a lot of her music videos. I remember by the time overprotected came out, I thought something was sus.

Honestly when I first heard this track back when it was first released I was 18 and did enjoy Britney but I did not enjoy this at the time. I thought it was Disney style cheesy.
