Thank you for the fast delivery of the laptop! This Intel Whitebook looks so much better in person! I upgraded from a older CyberPower laptop Ive had since 2018 that had a 1060 in it. I put an extra stick of RAM in the Intel laptop and it now runs all my games flawlessly! Btw, it NEEDS my laptop cooling pad for long gaming sessions/benchmarks or else it will severely drop clock speeds, but overall I am happy with my purchase! Just a quick suggestion for future laptop reviews, download HW monitor and show the temps/clock speeds/wattage/etc. prior to gaming, during gaming, and post gaming. Have a great day!

I think it would be nice to show the audience about the wattage for each component .most laptops come with differeny tdps for their gpus as well as the cpu.Also it makes a huge difference if the laptop has mux switch or not....You may also wanna show the people you can get more fps from simple overclocking and undervolting.I have a gtx 1070 laptop with a mux switch that i bought for 600 CAD and it easily beats this one despite being older.

Yeah GPU wattage is very important. Most budget MSI gf63 have terrible wattage so a GPU of the same calibre would perform worse than say a legion or nitro.

I actually happen to use that same CPU, I've got the 9750H and gtx 1660ti with 16gb of ram and it is an awesome combo. That particular CPU benefits extremely from undervolting and tweeking with ThrottleStop because it tries to constantly turbo up to it's max frequency and thermal throttles. I run Elden Ring at max settings at 1080p and get a pretty damn constant 60fps and my CPU and GPU never get hotter than 76 degrees Celsius. I've gotten some pretty amazing benchmark scores as well using the Heaven benchmark as well as 3d Mark. Surprisingly enough, it's a Dell G5 5590 lol. Anyways, I'd seriously check out the undervolting and overclocking guides available for that CPU, it makes a massive difference.

@@med3099 I agree, I'm assuming that because the CPU is thermal throttling between it's normal and turbo frequency rapidly. What made the biggest difference was being able to undervolt to give more thermal headroom and then you basically lock the frequency multiplier so it's not spazzing out under load. I don't have Cyberpunk to test unfortunately, but I've done a lot of benchmarking between the "out of the box experience," and then after undervolting and overclocking. The results are pretty dramatic either way but with a lot cooler temps after undervolting.

I actually bought same laptop from same seller, for $650, took out the ram and ssd, and upgraded to 32gb ram, and 1tb & 2tb nvme ssd in it for total 3tb, and with a lot tinkering and some software i have managed it to keep below 70c while gaming, and some games as low as 55c, but this is a laptop with about 5 different names, maingear element, eluktronics mag 15, Aftershock Vapor 15, and XMG Fusion 15 all with same laptop housing. It is a laptop made by intel for companies to buy, and add ram and ssd and resell, the official drivers for the laptop are on intel website, as well as the control center for laptop keyboard and led light in front. There is a jumper on the board if you wanted to reflash the bios in the laptop and remove it and it looks for usb with specific folder structure to flash bios so it is designed to be reflashed easily. I think it is a great laptop and would recomend it every day, it performs very well.

U have to remove the 74c GPU limit on these laptops . They locked it down at the manufacturers . U could get way way way better performance. I played cyberpunk on this type of laptop 2070mq I could get 60+ fps on ultra setting DLSS ,. And around 30 to 45 fps with ray tracing . I kind want to buy it . I feel like u guys don't take the time to learn about the decide and optimize properly that's what I've always hated about your channel but I do love to see thos beautiful laptops on video 😋

Hey guys I love the testing you do but I've found that arenas isn't an accurate representation of performance in apex legends, Example my Ryzen 5 2600 can easily maintain 150fps with no dips in arenas However with battle royale I'm lucky to get a stable 75 So whenever you guys do secondhand builds please test battle royale aswell so we know what we're in for and not just a guestimate off of the arenas performance

Own this exact laptop from the exact eBay sale. From what I’ve heard these are essentially new. They’re sent out to companies like main gear, eluktronics, aftershock etc. this is the same laptop as the eluktronics mag 15. You guys don’t have the command center installed by default out of the box. Also bios is outdated and most of the drivers. Battery life on recent updates is weird it has a huge 94wh battery but windows draws too much juice. Configure the drivers right and tweak the boosts and you’ll get much higher performance. You can use asus gpu tweak II to remove the gpu temp limit. Also add more ram the 8gb single channel is big bottleneck. I like this laptop a lot it just sucks that it doesn’t get its original 8hr battery life on windows 11. It’s super lightweight, all metal build, rgb mechanical keyboard, good screen. Was worth the 600-700 depending on when you got it.

The whitebook is kind of like a founders edition Nvidia card except they aren't available to the general public. Usually they are only sold to manufacturers to base their designs off of or to companies like XPG or Maingear to be configured and sold at a mark up. They are made by a company in china called tongfeng. I don't know how true this is but the reason they all showed up about the same time and at a low price is because whitebooks are under some kind of no-sell order or NDA to stop all of these engineering sample type devices from flooding the market and so a bunch of them have been sitting unopened in warehouses. Anyway, I have one and I love it and my coworkers have also just went and bought ones for themselves, feeling like a trendsetter lol. I'm a bit bummed actually, my buddy got his for $600 because of a deal.

This is actually the Eluktronics Mag-15 in the US. In Asia Pacific, Intel partnered with Aftershock and called it the Vapor 15. In Europe it is called Azerty Luma. They are very wrong about the 2070 max q’s performance I own a i7 10750h and 2070. I also have a laptop with a ryzen 5800h and 3050ti the performance isn’t close at all. The 3050 ti is significantly weaker. It’s not even a competition. They both have 16 gb of ram

You mentioned at the end talking about them being tricky with naming with "max q" variants. It's actually worse now. Now there are multiple versions of 3060s, 3070s, 3080s ect. But they don't actually tell you which one you get so you have to look at reviews. You could get 2 laptops with the same specs except the GPU in one could be much lower wattage than the other and it will perform much worse.
