[Incident evaluation log - 04 Codename: Green Eye] - *Update* [Addendum 05 - Green speech] The retrieval of the recently discovered translation device has led us to a major insight into the decryption of the alien script located bellow the "Green eye". It has been determined that the script is supposed to be read from left to right, top to bottom, like English. The decryption presumed the message was oriented towards the base. It can be read easily through our satellite input. Other text orientations are currently investigated to determine any other possible ways to read the script. The script was likely developed as a means of intermediary communication with the research team, meaning the "Green eye" entity has some level of understanding of the English language, however the link between it and the device is still unknown, as is the origin of the translator. Caution should still be taken when interacting with the entity. The intel stored on the device translates the stone placement as a distress signal, requesting aid. It further lists what we suspect is a limitation to its communication. It is currently unknown if this limitation is due to the time demand of forming a message, the willingness of the sender or other reasons beyond our current understanding of the entity. *Additional security concerns:* The retrieval operation of the alien translator went without major incidents, a few scratches are expected in such an environment. However, the hull of the Stringray 1 vessel should be cleaned. The high salinity content of the water it was exposed to may lead to corrosion, especially with the mechanical wear the vehicle sustained during the operation. We have also received no update on the garage building backwall repairs, which is a cause for major concern. The water recycling plant examined before the retrieval operation should be added to the base. The purifiers will require negligent amounts of chlorine, which we can generate thanks to the newly discovered sodium-chloride deposit. Therefore further steps should be taken to make the water supply fully resolved.

Scrapman, I think what you should do to translate the message in front of the eye is use the translator to sort of make* a machine to auto translate the message using the translator. the machine could be as simple as a drone that hovers over the message with a sensor that scans each symbol and sends a single to a devise that the translator could be hooked up to which automatically matches the symbol to the letter and then creates the message in English. (*=either you or the community)

LEAKED LOG: Experiment 502, Copyability. We are currently experimenting on the lift and trying to implement a way to have multiple of one creation present. We have only experimented with smaller creations, such as bikes/rocks and such and this experiment is turning out great! History may be made if it weren't for one thing... Too much power consumption. At times, the lab fully shuts down due to not having enough power. This has caused disruption, at least according to our motion sensing, to the entire planet of Mars. If we keep this up, the _eye_ may defend its homeland... we dont want _that..._ We may need a way to _get rid of_ others... End of log.

Tbf i'üd guess aliens having a concept of "numbers" comparable to ours is more realistic than them having an Alphabet conposed of 26 letters that's usable in a similiar way than ours. We don't know if Aliens are even physical able to make for example a "P" sound, but having at least a few basic integer values seems realistic. You can find for example 4 Rocks next to each other, so they propably would have a way to count them. And that 4 things still are 4 things on every planet in the universe does seem to be true
