I remember in boy scout days, being taught about Morse Code, my dad, who was a service member in WW2, showed me this, too.. and this reminds me of watching old Western movies, especially with Audie Murphy, who was a vet, too, would apparently use morse code in the movie and other little things that were probably learned from his days in service. Apparently, there's a universal hand sign for help, probably derived from Sign Language.

I built my own advanced survival kit for less than $300. The bag I use is a MINIMAP 4.5 liters with better quality items and products. The products in the kit are cheap and expensive for the logo only. Also, the products inside are not USA made but made abroad.
