Tule salmon or just darker fish in general tend to have sub par meat. Unless it's a springer. In short, it's not good to kill any fish that you will not enjoy eating. Plus if you release it, it will spawn and produce more salmon that will be better to eat in the future.

I’ll be honest. I’ve only caught one trout on pro cure this year. I’ve been using double stuff and the liquid pro cure and found it to manufactures specs and even added a little borax for o one batch to hopefully make it stick better but nothing I’ve done works with this stuff. I just feel like a messy handed fool when I try and float roe.

No, hover fishing will never be illegal, as there's enough "stupid" fisherman out there than can make hover fishing seem hard. Been hovering fishing since 2,000 - mainly on the NFL but also for springers on the Big C. Anywhere you can get water deeper than 12' and the current is light enough to run a 6 or 8 ounce lead, hover away! The key to hover fishing kings is having more than one egg cure and having more that one scent on board. Pro Cure, Pro Glow, sodium sulfites..sufates...anise.....shrimp.....herring.....candlefish......starting fluid.......all good suff by themselves and even better when mixed or in combo. Add to that shrimp, tuna, mackerel, etc...and it's money. Find the scent and baits the fish want and you'll be top boat on the water. Every time. The red, egg crusted rods cracked me up - I swear the only reason my IMX 1025 didn't snap in half was the ultra thick layer of dried egg goo on it. I can smell those fishing rods from here.

When we film it is generally in high traffic fisheries that are no secret. I am sorry you are unhappy with the crew for this. The only Pro-Cure staffer that has a background in guiding is Phil Pirone the owner of Pro-Cure. Outside of that Steve and Jason just really enjoy the outdoors. Hover fishing at Drano takes a lot to get used too. Most of the time the bites are small nibbles like a trout. It takes a bit for your brain to adjust if you have never done it. We took a 32# out of there a couple years ago. From the little nibble you would have thought it was a 6” trout. I will never give anyone crap for missing a bite while hover fishing
