De la salle has been a powerhouse school for as long as I can remember. When I was in HS back in 2000 them and Long Beach Poly were the teams to beat in Cali. And when they played eachother it was massive.

If you’re from the Bay Area you know that it’s no other team in northern california that can really compete with De La Salle. I graduated in 2005. 2004 was the year they finally lost. Rest in peace to Terrance Kelly aka TK he is a De La Salle legend along with Maurice Jones-Drew, DJ Williams and Armani Toomer. I watched them in person 1999 as CA#1 vs Matter Dei CA#5. Game moved to a neutral city college field due to hype. DJ Williams (11yr Pro) was a LB/RB/KR/PR and they were on a Winning streak from 1992-2004 or 2005. Just insane to see this HS when I was in HS.

I played De La Salle when i was in High School. We lost 23-7... and us holding them to 23, while us actually scoring a td and being within 2 scores got some of us noticed by college scouts. There are a few players who got scholarships largely because they were able to at least hold their own against a school that feels like playing a low tier d3 school in HS. They had a streak at the time that was longer than 12 years, i believe somewhere around 240 straight wins (about 18-20 years' worth of games.)

De La Salle was the first do the weight training thing year round with insane discipline and a commitment to football and only football. De La Salle is and will always be *THE* gold standard for high school sports.

De La Salle is not a “regular” HS btw. It’s a private school and they recruit. I live about 40 min away, everybody knows about them. Not flashy football but every player knows their assignment on every play, they are extremely disciplined.

What? DeLaSalle hasn't lost in 12 years? Is that only regular season games? Or does that include playoff games? Or are you talking about years ago, when they had that incredible run? Because, I can tell you from sideline experience that they had their first playoff loss to a public school since Carter was the President in 2021 when they lost to Folsom. And the next season they lost a regular season game to the same public school after not losing in the regular season to a public school in the regular season again since the 1970s. So, DLS has lost to Folsom twice in the last three years.
