I think he did adapt in a sense because he would move and kbd at inappropriate times and stop his pressure even when you were against the wall, so I do think the play was for him to go more ham.

There’s no way he literally means no adaptation, going HAM and not letting him play was the adaptation to win right then and there but lack (or lesser short-term) counter play overtime from where gm is always operating from (long-term)

From what I could tell, he was mixing up his timing more and delaying moves and such. He was sprinkling in different moves too and playing safer like going for lower risk pokes instead of big reward moves so often.

I'll keep it real with you, I've brute forced my way to TK/Emperor with sus frame data knowledge and weak movement. I excel in other areas like neutral and wall oki...and not pressing like a crayon eater. However, I have way too many holes and can get bodied by an experienced player.
