Mr. Brian, I love your channel. I'm on disability and unable to do long hours of hard labor anymore. However I love cutting yards and making a yard look great. I'm looking to start a small lawn service to mainly help folks here in our small town. I tried last season by buying a small Ariens Zoom 42 Model and it costs me severely BUT I'm stubborn and ain't gonna give up 😂 I'm looking at the Ariens Ikon 48. Pure and simple Brother what's your opinion and advice. I served in the Navy, grew up doing drywall, done all kinds of construction and even played in mechanics from small engines, automotive, simi trucks and some heavy equipment so I maybe some what disabled but not out of the race 😂. I have the blowers, ebgers, weed eaters, saws and hand tools. My goal is to make a few bucks but to help folks that are unable to pay full price for having their yards done because of age, disabilities, widows or other issues.

Thanks for your support. If by it cost you severely, meaning it was a bad decision, I couldn't agree more. I'm not going to hijack your comment talking about those problems. My advice...above ALL, BE HONEST. What I mean by that is if you give someone a price, honor it even if it means you go in the hole. Next: when purchasing equipment, DO MASSIVE RESEARCH FIRST. You don't want to end up in the boat I'm in with my Ariens, which brings me to my next point. NEVER, under ANY circumstances by anything manufactured by Ariens with orange paint again. I learned that the HARD WAY. Gravely is a little more expensive, but the savings in maintaining it makes up for that. Also, if you can afford it, go with Stihl equipment if you can. The maintenance costs are almost nothing. Lastly: Even though you're doing what you're doing for a great reason, DON'T sell yourself short. Don't allow people to take advantage you. I hope this helps. Again, thanks for watching and for your support.
