"I smoke old stogies I have found. Short, but not too big around. I'm a man of means by no means. King of the road." I had an uncle who died 20 odd years ago. This was his favorite song. He sang it all the time. When us cousins were little, you had to be 8 to join the summer camp trip, or the fall deer and duck hunt. we'd hike miles up in the cascades, we'd climb just shy of the snowline, August still had snowdrifts at the elevations of the lakes we fished so we'd hike in several dozen eggs, Chilli fixins, hamburger, beans, flour, oil and store it in the snow. We had sleeping bags, three shirts, two pairs of pants and a pair of sneakers incase our boots got wet. a tarp and line for a large shelter, we never used tents, we hiked in fishing gear and camped for two weeks. And every morning as he's cooking on the fire we'd hear him softly singing "trailers for sale or rent....." by the time I joined the army and reached my first infantry unit I knew more about living in the field than most of the men in my units and some mornings as we're brewing up coffee while we wait for rations to be delivered by Topkick, I'd find myself singing softly "two hours of pushin' broom Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room I'm a man of means by no means..." Thank you uncle Dave, you never once told us you loved us but actions speak louder than words and when dad died you didn't hesitate you stepped up and continued teaching where he stopped and kicked my ass when I needed it. Rest in peace you old cuss.

When I was growing up on the farm we used the manure spreader on the county road to get up the hill from farm in winter so we could go to town. Yeah do that today some crazy people will have a fit. Hey but it worked! Have a good day!

I can’t wait to watch the bunker sweeper work. I wouldn’t want to stand within 100 feet of it while it’s running though. I have the same feeling about using a chain to lift heavy stuff or pull a vehicle with one. Show what the bunker sweeper can do Cole. Two hours of push in’ broom buys an eight by twelve four bit room. I’ma man of means by no means by no means, king of the road. It was -6 here in Cherokee County at 5:00a.m. It’s been really chilly here for about five days. Stay warm. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for feeding folks. Pray for our farmers and all those who have to work out in this cold weather. And for our homeless citizens. Storla Station

After driving on road for about half a mile I turned around & saw my pto lever vibrated to on position & I top dressed the neighbors corn fields on either side of the road. You could see about 3 weeks later right to the foot where pto kicked on where I bounced on a culvert depression under the paved road.
