That's because before Taylor turned pro too many female boxers were happy with the status quo. Nobody was hunting out the big names, none of the champions were going up or down weight divisions to seek out the best fights. Now that's all changed. It would be easy to declare the winner based on the damage to both their faces but some people bruise much more easily than others. Katie had much more skill and better defence but Persoon was unrelentless and got so proper face jabs in there and punched more. Persoon came across as the attacker and taylor the defender.
