Will giving Michelle's ring to Anna as her engagement ring is so twisted. To me, that indicates Will had no intentions of ending things with Michelle and got the reaction he was hoping for from her when he proposed to Anna with it. How tragic for Anna to have gotten caught up in all that
@radchik Жыл бұрын
I do agree with you. But I would like to add something about Will's mental capacity. The way Mr. Ballen was describing Will's actions/beliefs and you're getting a sense of Will's personality. I realized that this guy is a total gullible, clueless nutjob. I think he honestly didn't see the social ramifications of giving Anna another woman's ring as an engagement. I mean, this dude totally lived inside his head. He believed in FANTASY. This mofo thought not only could he build a time machine, but that time travel was even remotely possible! My older brother has a friend who had similar traits to Will. He was just a very naive, gullible guy when it came to women. No backbone. No kind of character. It's like he was a little boy trapped in a grown man's body. He's one of those "40 year-old virgins" who is unable to socialize with women like normal people, so he links up with women on the Internet that live far away from him. He establishes these superficial, unauthentic relationships with these far away people bc he's unable to foster a real, tangible, physical one at home. My brother's friend met some chick online one time and within a week, was planning a trip across country to be with her. Didn't know her from Eve! Who is to say that woman had a plan of robbing him? Killing him? I know in this instance, Will committed the murder, but I'm speaking more to the mental unstableness these people possess. It's actually quite scary. You just don't know who you're really dealing with. My heart goes out to Anna and her family. No one deserves what she got. And her demise came from a man-child whose grip on reality in life never fully came to fruition. I mean, he changed his mind after blowing her brains out...now he can say a magic spell and undue his actions, go back in time and be with Anna. Really, dude? Who thinks like that?? Oh yeah...someone who has ABSOLUTELY NO GRIP ON REALITY.

@tajneafoster2836 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think Ballen gave this particular story justice. I did some research and found out more about the level of deception Will used to manipulate both Anna and Michelle. In fact, it seems Anna was just being used as a tool by Will to make Michelle jealous so that she would divorce her husband. He made up lies about military service (said he was a marine that had been stationed in Russia) sweet talked both women, but was secretly pretty unhinged. Michelle was bitchy and jealous, but I almost feel bad for her because that was of Will’s design. I’ll also add that Will lied about Anna to Michelle and made it seem like Anna just wouldn’t leave him alone and that he had told her multiple times it was over. This made Michelle hate her more, but it was a lie. Anna thought Michelle was crazy and imagined she had more with Will than she did.

I'm so addicted to your stories. I do not sleep much. And you really help take my mind off the horrors of my own life. My Father was a U.S. Marine stationed at USMC Base Camp Lejeune ,North Carolina . My Father's two tours in Vietnam, taught me about death, at a very young age. He brought home a green boot string of cut off ears, big & small. He displayed them with many other horrid things in our basement. A M-16 and many different types of booby traps, like punji sticks. It was horrific. I was very scared to go down there. But I was told to get over it or else (thump call) would happen. I was a dependent daughter, of a now deceased , Retied Sgt. Major. The abuse from my father was heartbreaking. Yet he is not the nightmare, highly toxic drinking water on this base is the cause. As of two years ago, my baby brother, who played a harp like an angel, died from cancer. So now all my family has died from this toxic water exposure. My health has been really bad my whole life. With 16 years at this base. I don't know why I have not died yet? Maybe because I'm a redhead, who knows. My biggest fear is what will happen to my son. He was medically retired in 2009 from the Army. Sent back from the Iraq War with Schizophrenia and P.T.S.D. His father was also a U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune area (New River) in 1977, He died in 2014. This base has killed so many of my childhood friends too. But my God from 1953-1987 thousands of innocent infants died. Poisoned due to the baby formula. Home made by their mothers with the worst toxic drinking water you will ever find. It's a living nightmare 24/7/365/. It's heartbreaking how this happened on United States soil for so many decades. So sad but true. P.S. Your Mother did a great job, because you're awesome. Thank you Sir.

The more I think about it, there are tons of ways to get into a love triangle. I could of been in one once when I was in a 3 some with my girlfriends, girlfriend. My best guess is that Will is covering for Michelle. She had 3 sufficient motives to kill Anna: #1 - Her Emerald Wedding ring (emotional/monetary value) #2 - Her obsession with Will #3 - Her affair with Will It's very plausible Michelle could have followed them there, as we know Will was in contact with Michelle over the phone the entire time and likely let the location slip of where the break-up would occur, thinking nothing of it. (Michelle might have known him that well too, perhaps, as she also could have known that he carried a shotgun in his car). Then all that's left is her reaching into the car, grabbing the shotgun and following up with her initial threat to Anna. Of "doing something really bad". Michelle is the one we know who has motive, has previously displayed aggression, has the mental disturbance (obsession, online stalking/predatory behavior, & verbal threats), plus knowingly and repeatedly wedged herself in between Will & Anna's relationship by repeatedly contacting Will. Purely from this telling, it honestly seems that Will as your common textbook geek tried and used everything in his knowledge to come up with a cover up story, not to actually travel back in time and "bring back Anna" but to now protect the only thing he has. Michelle. The death of Anna though, could have also very well made him go bonkers and down this nonsensical road of "time travel heroics". Feeling guilt of taking the decision to marry her & bring her here, or not having been firm against Michelle. Maybe it wasn't even Anna he was breaking up with in the woods, maybe it was Michelle. And Anna? She just found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, and then chased deep into the woods and cornered with a shotgun. We don't know. All I know is that without looking at other evidence, and purely from the storytelling alone, her death seems very nonsensical at the hands of Will, and more logically at the hands of Michelle. But well, of course that's all just this online armchair sleuths severely biased perspective. Rest in peace, beautiful soul. My condolences for both Anna & her family.
@haphuongnguyen3358 Жыл бұрын
This makes more sense than whatever that beergut has to say about his motive. "I wanted this girl who leads me on and never commit, but now I accidentally killed AND decapitated this naive wide-eyed girl who travelled the world to be with me. What do I do?!? I know, I'll build a time machine!"

RIP Anna...I'm so sorry that happened to you. Sadly I encountered a somewhat similar situation with a man a while back. We met and were getting to know each other in the first week or two and within that time it went from that he was a dad of a 17 yr old daughter living alone with her, to that his ex stayed there sometimes too, then evolved to tales of how his ex wouldn't leave him alone and that I might have to fight her for him or she might attack me and she was trying to poison him, etc. He also wouldn't go home unless I made him ( using the excuse that his ex might be waiting for him) and tried to take over my house. It became creepy so quickly. I told him to leave and called him on his behavior, so of course he started telling lies about me to others and promoting his daughter, her boyfriend and his ex to mess with me ( We were neighbors); such as showing up at my house at night with dumb excuses, and following me when I went out one Friday, waiting for me to return home from dates while sitting watching my door, his daughter and ex ( who moved back in immediately) making scenes under my balcony anytime they saw me outside, etc. The whole time telling others that I was a homewrecker even though I wanted nothing to do with him. I ignored it until they moved 9 mnths later; but it was a rough time. People can be so twisted. It's sad. What I experienced was far less obviously than Anna; it just makes me wonder if some form of this behavior and dynamic is probably more common than realized. I wish Anna would have been able to get away from that sick man and his toxic affair. Stay safe out there everyone.

She had poor taste in men, I got to say. Either that guy is hung like a horse, or she has no judgement.

@@chinchillamdgamer In the US, it is free to get a restraining order if you had a dating relationship with the respondent. It doesn't need to be a longterm or live in relationship. You go to a Clerk of Courts to file the papers, usually. You do need to know their address, so that they can be served by a sheriff. Once you file the paperwork, the clerk looks at it, asks a couple of questions to ensure you're not just filing out of spite, then rubber stamps it to go to a sheriff. You bring it to the sheriff's department, and request service. Once they are served, a court date will be set for a hearing before a court commissioner or judge. If they don't show up, it's automatically granted. Bring all evidence of harrassment to the hearing. They typically last two to four years. Bear in mind, that they don't always listen to the orders. I have been stalked for nine years now. However, he now has multiple felonies, a 2 yr stayed prison sentence, and a 10 yr restraining order, because I went completely no contact, and called each time he violated the restraining order. Each violation is a crime. They are misdemeanors, but multiple misdemeanors lead to a felony. After multiple contacts, they can be charged with stalking. It is worth the time to get a restraining order, because it gives you protection insofar as you can call the police to report the contact, and they can be held criminally liable. If they're in jail, they can't hurt you.
