This looks great for an HTPC. With the powerful CPU/GPU and 2.5Gbit LAN you can very easily playback 4K HDR videos from a NAS. I currently use a DeskMeet X300 with a 5600X and RX6600 to do this exact thing, so, to me this little Beelink is actually quite a great alternative option.

After watching ETA Prime cover a literal TON of these little tiny PC's it's nice to see Dawid cover one once again. These little guys really are interesting, I want to say about as interesting as the absolute avalanche of handheld PC's over the last few years now since the Steam Deck came out really. The fact you can upgrade these little guys "somewhat" well, is still a notch above SFF PC's I've seen over the years. Hope to see more sooner rather than later Dawid :D

I agree with comments about going minimalist with something that is “good enough”. I personally just bought a Miniforum similar to this and I’ve built a much more powerful pc in the past with a 3080. I went with the Miniforum just for the access to OCulink port. I don’t NEED a beefy GPU for the graphical levels I’m okay with gaming at now (thanks Steam Deck) but it’s nice to know that I can get an eGPU upgrade if I decide I “need” it someday. But that’s being said, minimalism and flexibility comes at a price that not everyone can afford or want to pay for. It’s nice that we have so many options based on your budget and use case!

Other people have been saying this too, but this is a mac mini competitor. It's designed to sit in the corner of a tiny desk under a 27" monitor and just kinda get buried under all the crap on your desk. It's for people who want basic desktop computing and who don't have any interest in upgrading. If it were cheaper, they'd have nailed it, too.

What has been missing in this space is a comprehensive comparison of various units with standard testing. Every single reviewer of these mini pcs, so far, does their own thing and are not even consistent when testing two devices...there is a LOT to investigate here...the Minisforum um690 (non S) had cooling issues with memory and ssd, BUT allowed memory OC. The 690S no longer supports faster memory (you can still set it in bios, just doesnt do anything), for example.

Hey Dawid. Love the videos. I would suggest that for AMD stuff in the future, you should try AFMF since the folks who buy this kind of stuff will want to eke out every frame they can and it works well enough that it could really help someone who is on a budget squeeze out another 20-30 FPS out of their tiny PC.

The use case I can think of: LAN party. Just grab this PC over to your friend's house, assuming he has a spare monitor laying around. But this is probably designed for people who frequently travel. I have 3 Beelink Ryzen APU based systems, one Ryzen 3 and two Ryzen 7s. They are cracking little boxes and perfectly fine (the 7s) for gaming .. okay, at fairly low-res and detail butnit cost less than a mid-range GPU .. and their customer service is good I've put 64GB DDR 3200 RAM in the 7s and most games are decently playable. What is quite cool is that I can reserve 48GB (I could reserve 63GB if I wanted) of that DDR4 for the GPU which has some cool use-cases. (I've also got a watercooled I7 oc to 4.9GHz with an RTX 2 3060 Ti oc'd in it which gets over 70 FPS on ultra setittings (but 1080p) for CPunk2077 and blows them away in FPS but both and financially is a beast in comparison to these lovely little boxes

That's a pretty nifty lil' pc. It does seem to have USB-C 4.0 type ports (according to the affiliate link) so using an egpu with this thing could be an option (in my limited pc knowledge), might be interesting to see how it pairs with one. So a use-case might be light gaming on the go (paired with a portable monitor etc), and heavier gaming at home with the added power of an egpu. Hardly an optimal setup, but these kinda things probably aren't really aimed for "optimal" to begin with.

I have seen radiologists use MASSIVE PCs with 128 gigs of RAM, some crazy Xeon CPU, and a wimpy Quadro card. For $590 after coupon it is encroaching on entry level gaming laptop territory, and I feel I'd be happier with an 8C/16T Ryzen with the beafy Vega iGPU in this cute little box over some basic 12th gen i5 with an RTX 3050 4GB discrete GPU, which is all I'm seeing in the $600USDish space. The Acer Nitro 5's and MSI GF63's, stuff you can get at Walmart. Yet it has storage and memory upgradability that seems as simple as (if not simpler than) non-gloryhole equipped laptops. The downside is carrying around a monitor, keyboard, and mouse if you're that mobile. But for someone like me, who is just looking for a system to use in say an RV or a hotel room while traveling, I can see this little guy being a pretty decent option. ASUS makes a Vivobook 16 for $800 which is like this (but with 16GB of RAM) yet it has the Ryzen 9 7940HS. Maybe there is a Vivobook model with the 7840HS priced a little lower, and once you consider the cost of a monitor and peripherals, it would be the nemesis of this tiny PC.
