The turret traverse is limited because the driver sits in the turret but his controls are in the hull. If the turret traversed further he wouldn't be able to drive it. In reality if the tank was stationary they could unlock the full traverse but then in game you wouldn't be able to make a quick getaway after firing. Love me some ELC bis, if only it had scouting.

Oh, just read up on this tank. It was so unreliable that the French completely dropped the ELC project to work more on the AMX family. So yeah even the french think this tank sucks.
